I booked a deluxe king room, which, according to the room type description, should have been on floors 8-19. However, when I checked in, the front desk assigned me a room on the 6th floor. Upon entering, I found the room to be quite ordinary. The bathtub and shower facilities were also poorly designed; even with a shower curtain, water would spray out, leaving a puddle on the floor. I later checked my booking and realized they had given me the wrong room type! That evening, I went to the front desk to discuss it. Initially, they insisted that room 601 was a large room and there was no difference, even claiming other rooms would be smaller... It was only after I insisted that they agreed to move me to a higher floor, 1301, the next day. As expected, the higher-floor room was noticeably newer. What a waste of money for the first night's room difference!

I forgot my ID, and when I asked the owner for help, they were incredibly kind and helpful. They really tried their best to solve the problem with me, and I'm very grateful for their assistance, especially since they must have been busy. By the way, if you forget your physical ID, you can check in with a mobile ID from Samsung Wallet, Naver, Toss, or Kakao Pay. Just keep that in mind. The place is close to the subway station and very clean. The hot water worked great. You can faintly hear conversations from the next room if people are talking loudly, but it didn't bother me. It's a great place with a good location for a good price. There's no elevator, so you'll need to use the stairs – something to consider if you have heavy luggage. There was even space in the hallway for large suitcases. Thank you again so much to the owner. I wish you all the best!

The room was clean and comfortable, with soft bedding and excellent facilities. The service was warm and attentive, with quick responses to requests. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, offering great value for money. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Clean, comfortable stay in this hotel, with fantastic location near a subway station serving 2 lines. Friendly and helpful staff at the reception helped to carry luggages as there's no elevator. Free ramyeon, coffee, tea and the use of washing machine and dryer (within stipulated time). No kettle but there's a water dispenser, very convenient! Ear plugs are provided as sound-proofing is not good. Overall, an awesome stay!

The disposable amenities were all there except for a toothbrush, which was pretty good. They even provided lotion, toner, and makeup remover, and the makeup remover was especially effective. However, for Chinese people, the breakfast selection was really poor. I stayed for 8 days and had instant noodles for breakfast for 6 of them, no exaggeration. On the day of check-out, I told the front desk that I couldn't make it to breakfast because it was too early (I had breakfast vouchers). In China, they would definitely offer you instant noodles or something to take away. Here, they didn't, which isn't necessarily wrong, but it could be improved. After all, I added breakfast when booking, and each meal costs dozens of RMB. If the breakfast vouchers can't be used, offering something else to the customer would make them feel better.

This was a great place for a solo traveler! The location was perfect, right in front of DDP. It's in a multi-use building, so it might take a little searching to find it. Opening the entrance requires a touch panel, which might seem a bit tricky at first, but it's not difficult at all. The shower and toilet are in the same area with no partition, which some might dislike, but it's manageable if you don't mind things getting a little wet (lol). They provided a toothbrush and two bottles of water. The hairdryer was a Dyson. Even with the AC on, the room still felt a bit warm. My room was on a different floor than the check-in, but the lower floor had amenities like a microwave and coffee, and it seemed like the kitchen and other facilities were freely available for use!

I chose this hotel based on my budget, location, and acceptable cleanliness standards (according to reviews). The closest exit to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station is Exit 8, but Exit 4, across the main road, has an elevator and isn't much further. There's a 7-Eleven next to Exit 4, and a WOWPASS charging machine in the lobby of the Sotetsu Hotel in front of the exit. The bed was comfortable, both in firmness and bedding. The toilet and shower were a combined unit without a partition, which I knew from reviews, but it still took some getting used to. However, I eventually got the hang of it. Basic amenities were provided, and I received a toothbrush set at check-in. There's a charging cable next to the bed, so you can charge your phone without a voltage converter. You take an elevator to get to your room. This hotel was perfectly adequate for a solo traveler looking to stay active on a budget.

My daughter and I booked a four-person room. The room wasn't large, but the bunk beds were very comfortable. There was complimentary bottled water, instant noodles, coffee, and a washing machine – the owner's thoughtfulness was evident. However, at 3:00 AM on July 2nd, we were startled. Our room, 307, was suddenly opened, and the man who opened it said the owner had given them the password for room 307. But they were actually supposed to check in from 306. Luckily, we weren't asleep yet, otherwise we would have been very panicked. It felt very unsafe to have a stranger know our room password. We immediately used the messaging function on TRIIP.COM to contact the owner to change the password, but received no reply. The guests in 306 said they would be checking out early that morning, and we were also checking out the next day, so we let it go.

The location was amazing, plenty of good food around and walkable distance to 2 stations. There's also 2 convenient stores nearby <5mins! The room was clean and just nice to store 2 luggages! Everything was clean and comfortable. There is also water, coffee machine, washer and dryer and instant noodle machine on every level too. 10/10 would definitely come back here to stay, the staffs here also speak good English and are super helpful!

First off, this is a legitimate hotel, not a guesthouse or a self-built inn. It has all the standard hotel amenities. It's definitely a suitable place to stay. Now, regarding the location, don't trust some of the online guides. This area isn't a commercial district or where tourists would typically want to go. It's a wholesale market hub, much like Beijing's Zoo Market or Chengdu's Lotus Pond Market – places that open at night for stocking up and close during the day. Within a two-kilometer radius, there are tens of thousands of tailor shops. Of course, there are some malls that are open during the day, but they're very few, so it's not recommended for tourists to stay here. I chose this place because I was returning to China from Busan, wanted a good night's rest, and needed to go to Gimpo Airport the next day. For everyone else, it's probably best to stick to hotels near Myeongdong; having Lotte Department Store right outside is the way to go. The hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste; you have to buy them from a vending machine. They really don't offer them at all, unlike other hotels where they might not actively provide them but will give them to you if you ask, like a razor. The two beds are roughly the size you'd find in a student dormitory. The breakfast *looked* like it would be good, but the reality was that it ended at 10 AM, with last entry at 9:30 AM. I went around 8:40 AM, and all that was left was sliced bread, sliced baguette, and instant noodles. As for scrambled eggs, bacon fried rice, which should have been there, I didn't see any – they were gone by at least 8:30 AM, and they didn't restock at all. The small pots for dishes in my pictures were all empty. I only managed to eat four small mushrooms. The hotel description mentioned sausages and other items, but there was absolutely nothing. In the end, I had a cup of instant noodles and a glass of grape juice.

very impressive! The staff members are OK in Japanese. Cleaning is also clean and clean. The location is excellent and you can walk to the night shopping of Dongdaemun. I could go back and forth without going through narrow or dark roads. The room where I stayed had no TV and refrigerator. It was quiet so I could sleep I still want to use it!

We stayed in a group of four, just enough, The room facilities are very satisfactory, two bathrooms, two large beds and two small beds. There are kitchenware, refrigerators, washing machines, and vinyl record machines. The top floor city view is very good, you can see the night view of Seoul. The fly in the ointment is that the hotel is on the mountain, the traffic may not be convenient, it is not easy to call a car, but the landlord can help to call a taxi. By the way, the landlord can speak Chinese.

At first, the hostel looks small, but once you arrive you’ll realise it’s a homey and comfortable place to stay. The location is very convenient, and the service is excellent. The facilities are well thought out and include a self-serve station with adaptors, luggage weight checking, tableware, water stations, and even laundry and microwave equipment. Everything is easy to access and makes day-to-day stays much more convenient. Customer service was also a highlight—staff were kind, warm, and really helpful. If you’re looking for a luxurious 5-star hotel experience, Yumdam Stay may not be the best fit. However, if you want an affordable stay with a comfortable atmosphere, this hostel is definitely a great choice.

The room was very clean and tidy, and the price was just right. It was also very conveniently located, with four subway lines nearby and a convenience store just a short walk away. David at the front desk was very accommodating; even though it wasn't yet 3 PM for check-in, he told us we could check in early because a room was already cleaned. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was excellent, and I'll definitely come back again.

A very good option for staying for a week. Spacious rooms, an elevator, good in-room amenities, and pleasant staff. First of all, the area is excellent. It’s a lively, authentic Seoul, and just outside the neighborhood you’ll find postcard-worthy spots and major tourist attractions. Staying here allows you to experience the rhythm of daily life alongside local Seoul residents and really feel the city from the inside. Plus there's also many convenient metro stations nearby. As for the hotel itself, there are both positives and negatives. Starting with the downsides: maybe I was just unlucky, but the shower head was in very poor condition and barely worked. Hopefully, this will be fixed. There’s also no option to open the window for some reason — it has a strange four-layer window system, which is… okay. The tap water is quite hard, but as far as I understand, that’s common across most of Seoul. The room keys don’t look very secure, and the key fob is huge — about the size and weight of a solid, heavy iPhone. It’s easier to leave the key at reception when you go out and pick it up again when you return. Another downside is the poor sound insulation from the corridor. When the Korean and Russian cleaning staff start chatting in the morning, it works better than any alarm clock. In some places, you can see signs of the hotel’s “age” and wear over time, but it’s not too serious. On the plus side, in addition to the usual amenities like toothbrushes and basic hygiene kits, each room has large bottles of body lotion, cream, and something else I didn’t even have time to figure out. That’s a definite bonus. Next, despite the inability to open the window, the rooms aren’t stuffy at all — on the contrary, they’re comfortably warm. There’s also heated flooring. All the staff are pleasant, friendly Koreans who are always willing to help if needed. A solid 4 out of 5.

My 17-year-old daughter and I stayed here. There's no elevator, and the stairs are a bit low in some spots where you might bump your head, but they're not too long, so it was acceptable. When checking in, they asked for my passport, and after verifying it, they offered me an outlet adapter, asking if I needed one. I had brought my own, but I still borrowed theirs. The fridge had two 500ml plastic bottles and small cans of orange and mango juice, which was a nice touch. They provided toothbrushes, and in the room, there were also shampoo, body soap, and even toner. Under the large TV, there was a monitor and a PC, and the Wi-Fi connected instantly. Towels were provided for the duration of our stay. At first, I panicked because if the door wasn't closed tightly, the lock wouldn't engage properly, making it impossible to open. But once I got the hang of it, it was fine! When I lay on the bed, it felt firm, but there was a warm sheet underneath. The initially cool bed sheets gradually warmed up, and by the time I went to sleep, turning it off made for a very comfortable night. With a bus stop nearby and a convenience store right in front, getting around was super easy. This was my fourth trip to Korea, and I'd only ever been to Apgujeong, Myeongdong, Dongdaemun, and Gwangjang Market. Being able to drop off our bags and head out again, and having a roof at the bus stop to wait under during the rain, was a real lifesaver! It was a convenient and affordable stay, so I definitely want to use this place again next time I visit Korea! Thank you.

The young lady at the front desk of the hotel is super good, and the booking on Ctrip is also very fast. We searched for several hotels, but they were all booked and refunded, and the online and offline were inconsistent. This one was booked online, and an email was sent immediately, very much. There is a convenience store around, and you can store your luggage in advance. It's very good. There is a big cockroach in the room, and the trembling slippers are killed. I still hope that the cleaning can be done. thanks
