This hotel is in a great location - just behind Insadong Culture street, with lots of restaurants and bars in the area. 20 minute walk to the royal palace, Bukchon Hanoi village and Meyongdong. There is a convenience store attached to the hotel reception.
The room was compact, but modern and clean. The bed was comfortable. There is also a sofa in the room with city skyline view.
However, loses two stars because - noise insulation could have been better. There should be hooks for hanging clothes. The bathroom has an awkward layout. There was no recycling bin.
If you need to stay in a good location at a decent price, this hotel is a good choice. If you need more space and something a bit more upmarket, you may need to pay more.
Located in the heart of Seoul, the front desk staff were very welcoming. The surrounding area is great, with plenty of shops right downstairs and nearby, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. The room was a bit small.
Overall, my experience was excellent. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The accommodation was an apartment-style unit, featuring a fully equipped kitchen with a stovetop and all necessary dinnerware – truly a 'ready-to-move-in' setup. While I didn't get to use them, having such home-like amenities provided a wonderfully relaxing sense of comfort during my travels.

Loved this hostel! Stayed in a few capsules before and this is really one of the better ones. You don’t feel claustrophobic and there is ample space in your own cubicle beside you for daily necessities and also under the bed to keep your luggage. Toilets and bath areas are clean, and if you don’t visit during peak periods you typically would get a cubicle quickly. A short walk away to anguk station and also accessible by airport limo. Bonus: the breakfast provided everyday was delicious, you won’t think of visiting the cafes nearby for breakfast at all!
This is basically a traditional business hotel. Where there is still telephone and safe box in the room. Deposit by cash or credit card is also collected during check in.
First of all, checking in hotel is handled by a not so friendly staff. Her colleagues did better and more professional. Maybe the staff is new and need training in customer service.
A brief look at the room i found a few defects. Went to feedback to the staff on night duty. He is friendly and professional. Thanks to his efficiency, the problems was solved the next day. He offered to change a room for us but we declined since it's only a 2 nights stay.
Room is very clean. Toilet layout makes it quite cramped due to the door. Would be better if door swings outwards.
Bed is comfortable. Air is good.
Travelled with my daughter for short stay in Seoul. Conveniently located near the subway, was a plus point to offload our shopping bags. There are quite a number of food places available as well.
Rooms have basic amenities and sufficiently stocked. No complaints for the price paid. Will definitely go back there if planning another trip to Seoul.
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel, which is located just a few blocks away from Myeongdong. The area is not too busy, which made it peaceful and relaxing, yet it’s still close enough to easily walk to shopping, dining, and entertainment spots.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they are well-maintained and feature very comfortable beds, ensuring a good night’s sleep after exploring the city.
Overall, this hotel is a great option if you’re looking for a quiet location near Myeongdong with excellent service and cozy, comfortable accommodations.
Ibis Insadong is well located with easy access to
Nearby metro, cafes and GS25 convenience store. It is conveniently accessible by airport bus no:6011. The front desk staff is friendly and always ready to assist with any inquiries about nearby amenities. Room service is prompt and efficient when it comes to cleaning.
Overall, it’s a great choice for those looking for a budget friendly stay in the area.
The self check-in and check out process is comprehensive and hassle-free. I am delighted by the snacks provided in the entrance when I am arrived even though it’s too early for me to check in. The hotel location is very close to metro station (blue line) and airport limousine drop off point. Size of the room is just nice for solo travellers. I had very good sleep throughout the stays. You might not be able to meet the hotel staff often but when you do, they greet you warmly and ask if you would like to get some drinks in the hotel lounge at B1. I would definitely re-visit in my next solo trip to Seoul.
I didn't know about the check-in registration service, so when I inquired, they kept saying check-in was at 3:00,
as if I were a customer who was demanding that I check in earlier,
and I thought the service was unprofessional.
They should have just said that check-in would start at 2:40.
But it's not always like that.
The service overall is excellent. Thank you as always.

Great
GGuest UserThis was my first time using self-check-in, but the explanations were easy to understand and they responded to my emails quickly, so I was able to check in with peace of mind.
The room was just as clean and neat as the photos! It only has a shower, so it might be cold for Japanese people in the winter, but it's a stylish, clean room with no unnecessary items. They don't provide pajamas, so I'll bring my own next time. I was also happy that the front desk staff spoke to me in Japanese when I checked out. I'll definitely use it again!
刘刘The hotel is conveniently located at Jongno 3rd Street. Although it is in the alley, the entrance is the exit No. 14 of Jongno 3rd Street Station and the departure point of the airport bus No. 6002 from Incheon Airport. It is also close to Insadong, Sanqing Street and Gyeongbokgung. The room itself is not particularly large, but the bed is clean, the bed is big enough, and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom toilet is separated from the wash basin and the shower, and the design is reasonable. There are many cheap restaurants in the downstairs of the hotel. There are pork clams, grilled fish, etc. It is worth recommending.
AAnonymous UserI stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days on my first visit to Korea.
[Good Points]
- The room was large enough for me as I was traveling alone.
- The location was great, convenient for getting around. The bus stop and station are just a short walk away.
- The Kamo River is also nearby, so even though it's in the middle of the city, it's great to be surrounded by nature.
- The security is good, so I don't feel scared even when I'm alone.
[Requests]
- I wish they provided tissues in the room.
- I wish they'd make an announcement at the time of booking or in the room asking guests not to flush toilet paper down the toilet.
- It would be nice if the trash cans in the bathroom and bathroom had lids (I was worried about the smell).
I had a toilet problem during my stay, but the staff member helped me out, even though it was late at night.
I apologize for the inconvenience. I appreciate their assistance.
Overall, my stay was very comfortable and I think the price was worth it.
I would definitely use this hotel again if I visit Korea again.
AAina6968This place slight not so convenient.Quite difficult to find this place . The uber will sent you to different place ,so you have to find your self where is the exact place . I kept mistaken which subway line to drop off , the exit very messy.not recommended for those person not good in map. However the room is very confortable. Even the room very small still can open 2 big luggage. Once you open 2big luggage, very difficult to move.
Overall the process is okay. But I don’t think will stay again here .
RRyosukeIt was a series of surprises during my stay. When I arrived at the inn, the entrance was locked. I couldn't get inside because my PIN was not contacted. I contacted Trip.com support and asked them to give me my PIN for about 30 minutes. When I went inside, there was a paper with my PIN on the unmanned counter. Accommodation requires clairvoyance.
When I entered the room, there was no curtain on the window this time. Thanks to that, neon lights came in when I went to bed, and in the morning the room became bright from early morning and I could wake up without an alarm clock.
GGuest UserThe hotel is close to a touristic spot with beautiful bars and restaurants in old hanoks. It is just 5 minutes walk from busy street, so the place was quiet. The walls were thin though. If you are a light sleeper it is better to get earbuds. The room was nothing fancy, but comfortably clean. You get what you paid for, and to tell the truth the place is cheap for the centre of Seoul.
If you are looking for a place to sleep after a long day of traveling around the city, this might be a good choice
HHENGLIThe homestay is in a small alley, which is different from the Chinese name and the picture name on Ctrip. It took a long time to find it. The photo of the front door of his house is as follows, please click here to find it. The surrounding area is very lively at night, with better coffee shops and western restaurants nearby. Nearby shops are also quite distinctive.
GGuest UserAmbience: Overall very nice
Cleanliness: Clean and tidy
Service: Friendly and helpful
The hotel is in a great location, with convenient transportation and easy access to shopping, night markets, and Myeongdong!
