Hotels in Myeong-dong, Seoul

This hotel is beautiful. It was very clean and quiet outside, but closest to everything without being chaotic. It was so so clean and the room was big. The washer in the room is so convenient. It’s a little much to drag your luggage from check in to building B, but it’s still worth it. I’d definitely stay here again.

I've been to Seoul several times, and this trip I finally got to experience the Westin Josun. The airport bus goes directly to the hotel, and the service was impeccable from the moment I got off the bus until check-out. All the staff spoke excellent English and were proactive in helping with luggage, giving directions, and even making change. The location is also fantastic; I could walk to duty-free shops, Myeongdong, and other places. The nearby BBQ restaurants were also delicious. My only minor complaint is that you have to stand in the bathtub to shower.

Very convenient, clean and hygienic hotel, impressive quick self check in service. I booked a 5 nights twin bedroom. The room was clean and tidy, the air in the room smell nice, the bedsheets were neat and clean. However, the shower room ventilation needs to be improved. Other than that, this hotel provides excellent complimentary breakfast, everything was perfect to me. Will definitely stay again next time.

The hotel is in a very good location, after shopping we could drop our stuff in the hotel easily. The hotel only cleans your room on the fourth day of your stay. Each day they will remove the rubbish and change towels. They provide whatsapp or wechat customer services which is good. The hotel is not new, but clean. What I am concerned about is safety. They have a lift, everybody can go up without a room card or passcode.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villiv Inn. The location is excellent — very convenient for getting around Seoul, with plenty of places nearby. Another thing I really appreciated was the support chat. It made the whole stay much easier because whenever we had a question or needed help, we could simply send a message and get assistance without any hassle. The room was generally clean and comfortable, but I think the cleaning service could pay a little more attention to washing the floors and cleaning the bathroom more thoroughly. The only thing that was genuinely annoying was the elevator situation. The building is quite busy, so at certain times we had to wait for the elevator for a very long time. Sometimes it felt like we spent way too much time just waiting to go up or down. Still, overall it was a positive experience. I would especially recommend this place for its location and convenient communication with the support team.

Originally, I booked a hotel in Gangnam, but considering factors like shopping and sightseeing, I decided to switch to Voco Myeongdong at the last minute. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. In terms of service, from the front desk reception to the lounge, the swimming pool, and breakfast, every staff member was smiling and dedicated to providing excellent service. It was really good. For dining, the breakfast selection was extensive and the food tasted great. Enjoying a hot bowl of Vietnamese pho in the morning was very comforting. The lounge also had a good selection; happy hour offered three hot dishes, along with cold platters, desserts, drinks, and alcoholic beverages, all of high quality. The room was also quite satisfactory. It was well-equipped with all sorts of amenities. The first round of the mini-bar was complimentary every day, and the quality was decent. The smart toilet and bathtub were very convenient. There were also USB and Type-C chargers. The only minor issues were that the USB charging port seemed to be of poor quality and often disconnected. The 0.8m bed was a bit narrow, and there was a slight risk of falling off when turning over. Also, upon check-in, there were two bottles of shampoo and one conditioner in the shower, and I had to inform the front desk to get a bottle of body wash sent up. Furthermore, the swimming pool closes quite early, at 8:00 PM. The location is truly excellent. There's a subway station and several bus stops right downstairs. From the lounge, you can directly see Namsan Tower. Namdaemun Market is right across the street, and it's a direct walk to Lotte and Shinsegae Duty-Free Department Stores, as well as Myeongdong's main shopping street, making it very convenient for shopping. The hotel also has a GS25, Burger King, and coffee shops, making it incredibly easy to grab a bite or a drink. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.

I stayed in a triple room on the 15th floor. Here's my feedback: 1. The room had excellent soundproofing, making for a quiet stay. 2. There's a direct underground passage from the lobby to Subway Line 2, which goes through Lotte Department Store. 3. There's no direct bus from Gimpo Airport to the hotel, but there is one from Incheon Airport. 4. The hotel description incorrectly states that Evian water is provided. I specifically asked for the English version at the front desk, and it only mentioned bottled water. I'm not sure why the Chinese page specifically highlights Evian when it's not actually available. 5. The closet door in the room was broken and wasn't repaired promptly after reporting it. Because the left side of the closet door was collapsed, the light inside the closet stayed on all night, which isn't ideal for guests who need darkness to sleep. 6. Complimentary toothbrushes are not provided in the room. They are available in the mini-bar for 2,000 KRW each. You can use Lotte Points to redeem them when checking out, though I'm not sure of the exact point value. 7. The gym is good, with a lot of equipment. It's open from 6 AM to 10 PM and has a front desk.

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel's convenient location near Myeongdong station was a significant advantage, and I was pleased to receive the room I had requested. The view from the room was delightful, and there were ample lockers available for luggage. The 24-hour minimart in the lobby proved to be incredibly convenient. While shampoo and shower gel were provided, guests should remember to bring their own body lotion and toothbrush. I did notice that the automatic toilet flush button was not functioning, and a used towel had been left in the bathtub.

We had a pleasant stay at Fraser Namdaemun Apartment. The room is comfortable and quiet. Overall it was a good experience, though some special requests I sent via email in advance were not fully arranged. Fortunately, this did not greatly affect our trip. The location is fantastic! All major tourist spots are within walking distance, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. I especially want to give high praise to the cleaning staff, who provided wonderful service. Would recommend for travellers exploring central Seoul.

I’ll list what I love: 1) Prime location, it’s at main shopping area and night market. Lotte department store is a few mins walk away. MRT station is just a stone throw, 2) hotel room and bathroom are clean and spacious, 3) bathroom has bidet and toilet seat warmer, 4) big pump bottles of toiletries, so convenient to use, 5) lobby has luggage weighing scale, 6) hotel room corridor has hot and cold water dispenser, 7) concierge staff are always helpful and pleasant, 8) strong complimentary WiFi.. these are a few. Definitely worth staying!
