Hotels in Myeong-dong, Seoul

Me and my mom stayed here for 3 nights. The location is perfect as it’s in the middle of the Myeongdong happening streets. It’s also very near to Airport Shuttle Bus stop. There was luggage storage available for us during our arrival in the morning.

We stayed 6 nights here. Even though the hotel is older, but very clean and no smell no bugs in the toilet. 10 minutes walk to metro but 1 minute to bus stop with buses to almost everywhere, personally I do enjoy bus rides more so that is a plus. Free water, daily cleaning and basic amenities are really nice. + affordability! 100% recommend❤️

Every time I visit, I stay here. It's so convenient, the service is great, and it's easy to find thanks to the sculpture at the entrance. The lobby staff downstairs are amazing – they help with directions, call taxis, assist with luggage, and guide you. Their service is just exceptional.

Very happy with this hotel. If you are the type of person that plans to be out exploring Seoul for most of the day and just need a clean and comfortable nights’ sleep to do it all over again, this is the hotel for you. Currently staying here with my brother & we’ve booked two separate rooms, both cozy single rooms. Please note the single rooms can only accommodate one person!! The bed is amazing; you literally melt into the mattress! I’ve taken photos on 0.5 of my room so you get an idea. Very clean. Beautifully designed hotel with multiple areas to chill and relax that includes the lobby area on 2nd floor, lounge area on 18th floor and rooftop garden with amazing views! Excellent reception staff, fab housekeeping and well located; 7 eleven literally round the corner, ATM bank directly opposite and loads of places to eat within walking distance. Very well priced as well. Free gym and self laundry service on the ground floor, so all good with me. This will be my go to hotel when visiting Seoul. Wasn’t too bad getting from ICN airport to the hotel;got airport railroad train, subway then taxi. Didn’t realise until I checked in that there’s an airport limousine service that takes you directly to and from the airport directly and it’s cheap so will be using that service when leaving. There’s nothing not to like about this hotel. Works for me and will definitely book on my next visit.

Location wise, Marguerite Hotel is almost perfect - nearest exit is Myeongdong Exit 1 (bonus as it comes with escalator), the Daiso that is a must visit for all tourists, near to Namsan Tower, airport limousine bus (right across Hotel Prince), and of course, just opposite the Myeongdong shopping heaven. You can always return to the hotel to stash your stuffs or for a quick refresh. For Muslim travellers, ”Lepakla” restaurant is just 5 steps away from the hotel, and near to Kampungku and Mari Meokja. Facilities like water dispenser (located at Ground Floor and second floor), tea and coffee is available 24/7. Iron is available upon request, bur ironing in your hotel room requires a bit of creativity as the size of the room could not accommodate luggages, let alone an ironing board. The projector in the room was a nice touch, I asked the receptionist how to use it and he said I need to connect it to my own laptop. But I don't carry HDMI cables around, especially when travelling. So after fiddling with the remote, I found out that I don't need to conect it to my laptop after all, as YouTube and Netflix is already readily available on the projector. The down side is, the size of the room. I managed to lay open my 26 inch luggage, but that leaves me no more room for other things. But the worst part is, the service of the hotel. Due to my bad knees, I have made a request for a room on lower floors via Trip. Upon check-in, I politely requested again for a room on lower floors. However, I was assigned to a room on the highest floor. The staff said nothing could be done, which was really disappointing. The staff offered to bring my luggage to the room, which I was grateful for, however, I had to drag my luggages all the way from fourth floor through the narrow staircase all the way down, resulting damage to my luggage. So if going up and down the staircase (there's no elevator/lift), is an issue, you might want to check out other places instead.

Perfect location in Myeongdong! The hotel is located right next to the Myeongdong Walking Street, making it incredibly convenient. There are so many delicious restaurants all around the area. It’s also very easy to get around as it’s just a short walk to the subway station. Highly recommended!

This was my 3rd time staying here. However, this time I realized it is really not a good value. I stayed at other hotels in Seoul and Myeongdong. And even the Single room is extremely small and uncomfortable. I only had a backpack and it is so difficult to maneuver and organize. Unfortunately, both provided towels had stains. And instead of conditioner/rinse they had an extra bottle of shampoo. 2 bottles of shampoo and 1 bottle of body soap. TINY room on a weekday costs like an average APA hotel in Japan but almost half the size. Yet, towels had stains and conditioner is not provided ?

○ Good place It was the best location to stay alone! Amenities (toothbrush, cotton swab, etc.) Water and towels are in the lobby, so can I take them freely? It was a feeling, so it was saved during my stay! The water pressure was strong and hot water was immediately available! It was good that the staff was at the front desk until 21:00 and I was able to leave my luggage! There was a place to dry the laundry in the room and there was a hanger! However, the room was a bit small and the M size carry could not be spread, so I needed to devise! The voice in the hallway and the voice in the next room were good, so the soundproofing was not so firm! It was a perfect hotel for staying alone! I would like to stay again if I have another chance!

Traveling solo, I found the room wonderfully spacious. I could leave my suitcase open on the floor without it getting in the way. The decor was cozy, and both the room facilities and floors were impeccably clean, giving it a very home-like feel. The kitchen was well-equipped with cutlery, knives, pots, and a microwave, perfect for cooking your own meals. It was super convenient to grab instant noodles from the downstairs convenience store at night and cook them myself. The table was also large enough for two people to spread out and eat or do makeup. Check-in was a breeze. You just scan a QR code on the first floor to register, and the hotel sends the door code and room number to your email, then you can head straight to your room. It's about a 5-minute walk to both the airport shuttle bus stop and the subway station entrance (they're in the same spot), which is quite convenient. After leaving the hotel, turn right onto the main street, and there's a whole row of restaurants across the road. There's a potato pork rib soup place that is incredibly delicious – it was my first meal after arriving, and I was very satisfied. About 200 meters from the subway exit on the opposite side, there's also a BHC fried chicken that's super tasty and open until late at night. The nearest Chungmuro subway station is also very convenient. Line 4 takes you one stop west to Myeongdong, and directly east to Dongdaemun and Daehangno, basically covering all my travel needs. The bathroom had all the essentials like shower gel, hand soap, shampoo, bath towels, and toilet paper. The kitchen also had new scouring pads and kitchen paper towels. However, you'll need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste or buy them at a convenience store. Check-out was basically just scanning a QR code. You do need to dispose of your own trash, but it's simple: separate recyclables like plastic bottles, cans, and paper bags, and then put general non-recyclable waste in one bag. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would definitely choose this place again on my next visit.

Good stay for a great price. Just about a 10-15min walk from main Myeong-dong area and cityhall station which is about a 7min walk away was able to bring us to almost all the tourist spots with 1 or no line changes at all. Also conveniently located outside an airport bus stop. Great location for free-and-easy travellers. Staff was nice as well.
