"This time, I brought my wife and child along. I compared several hotels before settling on the Yiduo Hotel, mainly because of its convenient location. It's on Minzheng Road, right next to the Shengwanjia supermarket, which is great for grabbing essentials. My wife mentioned that while the room wasn't huge, it was clean and tidy, and the sheets had been changed. After settling in on the first day, we headed to Butou Hot Spring, which was just a fifteen-minute drive from the hotel. The terraced hot springs were a hit with our child; the water wasn't too deep, coming up to their waist, and the temperature was just right, not too hot. With green hills and trees surrounding the pools, the environment was simply fantastic. Our child played in the hot springs for over two hours and didn't want to get out. For lunch, we ate at a farmhouse restaurant near the hot spring scenic area. In the afternoon, we visited the Shiwan Dashan National Forest Park, about a half-hour drive away. The trails in the park were well-maintained, even suitable for pushing a stroller, and were shaded by trees the entire way, so we didn't get sunburnt at all. The air in the forest was wonderfully fresh, reportedly rich in negative oxygen ions. The Shenma Waterfall in the park had an impressive drop, and you could feel the mist on your face when standing nearby. In the evening, we returned to town and had dinner at a restaurant near the hotel, trying the local Qinxiang duck and poached chicken. We also bought Shangsi Shagao and fragranced zongzi as souvenirs. The hotel's air conditioning was powerful, and the shower water heated up quickly. Our whole family had a comfortable stay."
