"We loved that it’s beachfront, which isn’t something many stays in Lamu offer. Being on Manda also made it feel more peaceful and serene compared to other islands. The food is incredible, especially the seafood. There was a complementary activity included with the stay, but due to a lot of miscommunication from the staff, we ended up missing out on it. Because of this, it didn’t really feel like we got full value for what was offered."

"The accommodation was both exquisite and enchanting. As one navigates the narrow alleyways of Shela, one continuously encounters smiles and welcoming greetings. The high walls surrounding Tulia House hide an immaculate interior that opens up into a central courtyard with a sparkling blue swimming pool. The bedrooms are large and airy, almost all with their own private balcony. The staff are extremely attentive but never underfoot. The house is centrally located and it’s a quick two minute walk to all the sights and sounds. Tulia House epitomises tranquility and relaxation."
