Hotel Seaside Shimabara
"The facilities were very clean and I was very satisfied. As it is a little far from the city center, I considered eating at a restaurant on site, but decided against it as it was quite expensive. There was a convenience store nearby, so I used that instead. I used it for work, but I think it would be great for relaxing on my own."
Shimabara Station Hotel
"Was happy that hotel location has a good view of the Shimabara Castle. The room is quite big but it is run down with cracks on the vanity sink and toilet conditions need to be upgraded. The WC keeps flushing water continuously after use. In general the whole room needs to be upgrade. The one good thing about the room is the cleanliness. Parking is free but it's about 25 metres away and crossing traffic lights."
Japanese Inn Kaiboso
"Facing the sea, it is a traditional Japanese homestay run by a few grandmas. The room is traditional tatami and futon. The grandmas are friendly, and the breakfast is a traditional Japanese breakfast, salt-grilled salmon, miso soup, rice, tamagoyaki and pickles. Next to the bus station, the transportation is convenient. There are no separate bathrooms, there are public baths and baths. In short, it is a good review and a very authentic experience."
Shimabara Hakusan Hotel
"The interior has a nostalgic feel, but it also has a luxurious feel, which is nice."
Hotel Nampuro
"I personally think the location is convenient, it's about a 10-minute walk from the station. The mini bar in the lobby provides many coffee drinks and snacks, which guests can take and enjoy as much as they want. There are also many books and magazines that can be enjoyed in the lounge area or even taken back to the room. Ice cream is also available, as well as draft beer and high ball. In the evening, snacks are also available for a period of time. You can also take them back to the room. Of course, everyone takes an appropriate amount. There is no shortage. It’s just that dinner is usually eaten. In hot spring hotels, The dinner was basically very flashy, and there was also a bunch of all-you-can-drink wine, so I didn’t go to get the mini bar because I was too full. There are endless facilities in the hotel, including billiards, game consoles, and children's play areas, so there are many parents and children staying there. Adhering to the characteristics of a hot spring hotel, they encourage you to wear yukata and slippers in the hotel. The color of the yukata is also beautiful. My favorite part is that there are about 6 massage chairs and there is no queue at all. The preset time is 15 minutes, but because it was never fully booked, I just lay there for 30 minutes after the hot spring bath until dinner time. The only flaw is that the room has a sea view. Maybe because I live on the second floor and was assigned to an annex, the view is not that great, but the sea is still beautiful. The room is also large and comfortable, and has projection equipment for watching YouTube and Netflix. The overall rating is high. While writing the review, I already miss it and want to go back and stay again🤣"
Hotel and Spa Hanamizuki
"The location is excellent, just 3 minutes from Shimabara Station, and there's a small, very relaxing hot spring! However, you'll need to walk about 5 minutes to check in at another hotel."
Business Hotel Chidori
"Great location and nearby amenities. Near to train station and near to town."
