Shimabara Station Hotel ★★★
"The hotel's location is not bad since it's only a 7 min walk from the train station. The room has all the basic items but it's kind of small for opening my suitcase on the floor. The one thing that really bothered me was the smell of mold in the room. I tried adjusting the temperature of the AC but that didn't help. I turned on what I believed to be an air purifier whenever I was in the room but that didn't help either. On the last night I switched the AC mode to Dry and it helped with the moldy smell, but since it got too cold, I had to change it back to normal AC mode. I didn't tell the staff since it was most likely due to the age of the hotel and probably nothing much could have been done."
Hotel Seaside Shimabara ★★★
"The hotel is very new, with two hot springs in the new building and the old building. The location is a little far from the city"
Japanese Inn Kaiboso ★★★
"Old hotel, no elevator, you have to carry your luggage yourself. The facilities are relatively basic, but the good thing is the service like that of a grandma's house, and the direct-hanging hot spring"
Hotel and Spa Hanamizuki ★★
"There are no staff members permanently stationed at the front desk. I found it strange that check-in had to be done at a different hotel."
Shimabara Hakusan Hotel ★★★
"It's about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop, and there are four breakfast options to choose from. It's about a 30-minute walk from Shimabara Castle."
Business Hotel Chidori ★★
"Arriving at the port, I took a leisurely 20-minute walk around the town. I was able to fully experience the rural scenery. As it's rural, it's a bit run-down and the cleanliness is just average. Breakfast was decent."
Shimabara Toyo Parkside Hotel ★★★
"satisfy! ! !"
Hotel Nampuro ★★★★
"It's a good hotel in Shimabara. Not bad."
Shimabara Toyo City Hotel ★★
"The room was larger than I expected, which was nice. The toilet seat was too big and didn't fit properly; the lid hit the sink and wouldn't open properly. The staff were polite. There seemed to be a microwave, but I couldn't find it. The air conditioning was too strong and made the room cold, making it difficult to adjust. Overall, it wasn't bad. Thank you."
