Hotel Gracey Tomamu ★★★
"Clean and friendly. Spacious."
Hoshino Resorts Tomamu The Tower ★★★★★
"The environment is indeed excellent in all aspects, and the room has been renovated. However, the bed is too small, less than 1 meter wide, and the bedding is terrible, giving off a musty smell. This led to poor sleep quality; I didn't sleep well for several consecutive nights, and one night I couldn't sleep at all. I wanted to change rooms but was told the hotel was fully booked. So, for those who prioritize sleep quality, I'd advise choosing carefully."
Pension Ing Tomamu ★★★
"The room is equipped with a terrestrial TV, toothbrush, towels, and slippers. Please bring your own pajamas and yukata as they are not provided. The toilet, washroom, and large public bath are shared, and the downside is that it is easy to hear the noise from the next room. If you avoid the times when the lights are on, you will usually have the large public bath to yourself. Both breakfast and dinner are very filling and delicious. Dinner is a full course meal, with appetizer, soup, salad, main course, rice, and dessert. I thought it would be nice to know the menu for the day before the meal so that it would be easier to plan your drinks. During the winter, you can be picked up and dropped off at Tomamu The Tower. From there, a shuttle bus runs every few minutes to the JR station."
Glamping Stay Tomamu ★★★
"This was beautiful place to stay. The pods were spacious and warm and the food that was provided was amazing. I can't praise the staff enough for the level of service they provided. I would definitely recommend this place."
glamping TOMAMU ★★★★
"A unique snow glamping experience, with private shuttle service between JR station and resort; the BBQ is also quite good."
Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Tomamu ★★★★★
"A bit worse than expected."
Yunosawa Onsen Mori No Shiki ★★★
"It's a rustic(?) inn in the middle of the forest. I stopped in for a bath on my way back from Lake Kanayama. When I entered the building, the first thing I saw was the words "The hot spring is heated using firewood." I guess it's easy to get thinned wood from forests in this area. I was surprised that in this Reiwa era, they still heat the water using firewood like in Showa era public baths. There was a small sauna in the bathroom, but it was a shame there was no open-air bath. I warmed up nicely and left after having some tea."
Club Med Tomamu Hokkaido ★★★★★
"The hygiene meets Japanese standards, completely satisfactory. The environment is great with fresh air. The service is also very good, although I wasn't quite used to the hotel's policy of requiring staff to eat with guests. After all, it feels a bit awkward to have an extra person at a family gathering. The facilities are complete, a bit dated, but there are plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, which is really nice. I'd give it a 9.8 and will definitely come again."
