"Lake Karina Inns is a great destination for families. The pools and slides are super fun- but they need to clean them more regularly. Aircon in the rooms also need servicing. Service was pretty good overall and food was really tasty!"

"After checking in, we were shown to our room. It was clean and equipped with a large flat-screen TV. Towels, soap, a small refrigerator, a kettle, and a single tea bag were provided. The furnishings weren't brand new but acceptable and showed the typical signs of neglect found in African lodges. The Wi-Fi was open and available in most public areas. Unfortunately, the connection speed was too slow for streaming services. Warning signs about hippos were posted. However, aside from visits from monkeys, cats, birds, and lizards, we didn't see any other animals. Hippos could, however, enter the lodge via the direct access to Lake Kariba/Zambezi. The staff was friendly and worked at the typical speed of service. It wasn't uncommon for the entire order to arrive at the table only to find that the first items were either cold or already eaten. Due to the adjacent harbor of the Cape Tafer fishermen with their noisy little motors on their boats, you should expect noise in the mornings and evenings."

"There is need to have a directory of reliable transport operators or a shuttle especially for foreign visitors. A cab driver was recommended to us by one of the staff members and he duped us, which dampened our experience a bit. When we checked in on the first day we were placed in one of the back staff rooms without even a functional tv, the windows could not be closed and it had old furnishings. We had to request for a different room then we were moved the next day. Please don't take bookings if you are fully booked. The staff was very friendly and the food was divine."
