"We chose this hotel because it was close to the bus station. It's a small, privately owned hotel. Cozy and clean. Friendly and attentive service. The only downside is that it's very noisy. You can hear the water running and dripping in the next room and from the upstairs floor, and you can hear all conversations both in the rooms and from the street. There's a complete lack of soundproofing. We couldn't get a good night's sleep over two nights."

"We had a really good experience at Ramada Sibiu. The location is central; you can easily walk to anything you want in the city center. The room was large, and breakfast was generous, with a bit of everything. I don't really have anything negative to say about the hotel. If I had to find one issue, it would be the air conditioning - it didn't work properly during our stay, and the room temperature didn't drop below 25°C even at night. That actually bothered me; I couldn't sleep well with that heat in the room. The mattress and pillow were slightly above average, but they could have been better; nothing dramatic, though. Other than that, I'd recommend it, especially for the location and breakfast."

"We filed a complaint with the hotel management and requested a refund for the room. The hotel was under construction on every floor. The entrance to the room was full of exposed wires and ceilings. The hallway carpet hadn't been replaced yet. It smelled of paint and damp. The room lacked curtains to block the daylight and was missing amenities like a hairdryer. Metallic noises could be heard throughout the night, possibly because the air conditioning system wasn't finished. Information about all the services was lacking. In short, it was unfit to accommodate guests. We've sent some photos."

"Nice and very clean apartment. Had 2 rooms, one sleeping room and one living room with a bed sofa that made for a bed large enough for 2 teenagers. Kitchen is fairly small but has all that is needed. Has a parking basement for a fee or otherwise parking in the courtyard. The one drawback, and why it is not 5 star is the location some 15 minutes from the centre."

Alexandra and Denisa at reception were incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. We also want to recognize Giorgiana and Mariana from housekeeping, who kept our room spotless and paid attention to every detail. The breakfast each morning was excellent, and the entire hotel felt welcoming and well cared for. Between the outstanding hospitality, comfortable rooms, and ideal location, Hotel Republique exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sibiu."

"Takes 15-25 minutes to restaurants in Old Town by walking. Parking on in front to hotel. It is connected to a restaurant so convenient to have a drink at any time. Rooms good sized, breakfast fine. Taxis come quickly. Front desk couldn't be helpful securing a private driver but this may just be the nature of the town."

"Our choice fell on this place, due to its proximity to the city center. And that was not a mistake. We had the old city center a mere 5-minute walk away from the hotel. And since we were a little bit away from the center, parking was available on the street just outside the hotel. Free. The room was new, modern and spotlessly clean. For instance, access to the hotel as well as the rooms are through codes, rather than keys (hence, no risk of losing keys). The breakfast buffet was plentiful and good. Everything we needed to start the day. The staff was super-friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place for a stay in Sibiu."

Unfortunately, the bathrooms leave something to be desired. The breakfast is very decent. There is no restaurant or bar nearby, however, there is a grocery store across the street that is open 24/7."

"15 years ago I had the best ever party of New Year's Eve at this hotel/restaurant. Nery nice and trendy rooms, well equipped. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I came back exactly after 15 years: the rooms were the same, but tired and beyond the history, a persistent bad smell in the bathroom, the staff very unhappy and not welcoming visitors. Two words: bad experience!"

"The building is beautiful and the location is superb. But, even all presentations say "luxury", I didn't see anything a decent 4 star hotel didn't have, beside the size of the room. Well, it was a "regular" room, not a suite. The disappointment though was the breakfast: it cost a lot, it was the usual breakfast you can find at any hotel (fair enough), but fish-based dishes were mixed between others and same utensils were used in all of them, cross- contaminating them all and nobody seemed to care. So all we can safely eat for 100RON were 2 boiled eggs"
