"We had a lovely 2 nights stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Not luxurious, but certainly very comfortable. The location is perfect, right next to the pier if you’re doing diving/boat trips. Right below are restaurants (including a Korean and Chinese one) and a massage parlor. The harbor view from the window is amazing, just as the pictures show. There is also free parking (contrary to what Trip shows) just in front of the hotel. Baboons roam the place and there was one which walked right outside our window. Highly recommend staying here!"

"We had a lovely time here. This is a family run Hotel and is more of a laid-back beach hotel. The rooms are spacious and nice. Bathrooms are quite modern. The beach is right outside the hotel and baboons are frequent visitors. Staff, including the owners are very nice and friendly Negative: Rooms have an old unkept feeling. Bathrooms have no water pressure; the shower is just trickling out. Parking is inside the hotel grounds, however very tight, narrow and up a very steep incline. Was easier to just park outside in the street Very steep stairs to get even into the hotel. Breakfasts are limited selection, no buffet. Staff very friendly"

"What a great stay we had ! With it's old-world charm,this historic hotel is such a pleasant stay. The balcony rooms have a great view, the rooms are very big and the bed super comfortable and spotlessly clean. The Hotel staff are so friendly and thanks so much to Shami for making our stay so welcoming. The morning breakfast is very good and the location is perfect for seeing the sights in Simonstown. I highly recommend the Central Hotel Guest House."

"Our experience as a family in the hotel was amazing, the food, the cleanliness of the rooms, the common spaces and most importantly the amazing view! Just wow. Big shoutout also to the staff in general. Thank you to the blonde lady at the desktop who was very attentive and made sure medical assistance got in time when needed because of fever. Also big thank you to the kitchen team and the bellboys. Couldn’t recommend more the stay at boulders. Thank you very much!"

"Very strange place. Very poor service - often no-one around at all. Room was okay and the view was really good. The steps into the house are extremely steep and very dangerous both on the way up and the way down. Parking can be very difficult depending on the number of people staying there."

"Very lovely stay with nice well-lit and spacious rooms, in very close proximity to Boulders Beach and a 5 minute drive to the port, where we found nice restaurants for dinner. It was our honeymoon and we were treated to champagne and fresh flowers which were a very lovely surprise. Staff very helpful and accommodating. They helped us carry our luggage up the stairs and we had a wonderful breakfast on their deck. Would definitely recommend! "
