"Loved the place nothing too much trouble, from start to finish , drink when arrived was midnight And told to sit and relax while they checked us in , the food was great variety, Italian bar was great staff work hard Food was great, shout out to guy who taken drink orders around our pool near Italian he never stopped, Definitely 5* was bigger than we thought and it was in nice location near the sea and few other bars Will definitely be back to this hotel we loved it."

"Just got back from a 7 night stay in castello village resort and what a lovely place to stay in. The whole experience was a delight from start to finish, we arrived in the early hours and was greeted by Ava who booked us in and swiftly took us to our apartment and was surprised to see that some food was left for us in the fridge with us being a late arrival this I found to be a good idea. The apartment was very nice and clean and towels changed every day and the bed linen changed every second day was grateful for the air conditioning as the week we stayed was rather hot in October. The food in the restaurant was delicious and every day the main man Ervis was there to greet you with his charm an absolute asset The only down side to the stay was we noticed that the walkways were starting to break up in places and also the main pool area the tiles were starting to break away but I assume this will be rectified in the closed season We will be back again soon in this delightful little corner of crete"

"Very friendly welcoming staff at this lovely hotel which is within easy walking distance of Sissi. Beautiful pool in lovely quiet gardens with views of the mountains. The coastal path , although rough in places, is also close by. Rooms are kept spotlessly clean."

"recently spent a week here and enjoyed the view from the pool and local bars and restaurants. pros . great views, towels changed twice beds made every 3 days rooms kept clean and tidy bed comfortable room a deluxe living room looking onto the pool and dining area. cons. was asked by stella not to go to eat at next door hotel due to a feud between them. this has nothink to do with her customers so should not put us on the spot. its our holiday and we should not be put off eating were we want grow up. wardrobe in living area with couch in front of it had to open one door squeeze by it open other door to put stuff in and get to safe. very cramped.room looked a little dated very dark as you could not open curtains and shutters as every one from pool and dining area could see you no curtains or frosted glass to give privacy so dark. pool small and shallow sunbeds uncomfortable had breakfast there 3 times kitchen area very small everyone dodgeing around each other ftrying to get fed . definatly not a four star we have stayed in several hotels in sissi which were much better . dont mind paying hotel tax but 10 euros for this hotel is not right. anixi hote staff wonderful during our meals there food great so would recommend ."

"Hotel was clean and daily room housekeeping was good. Owners were friendly and approachable. Breakfast was ok but a bit repetitive towards the end of our stay as was the same every day. Hotel is close to the town within walking distance which is good for tavernas and shops. Pool was very clean but spoilt by people reserving loungers all day from early on but not actually being on them. Some thought certain ones belonged to them. This was despite notices saying not to do so. The balcony was a real sun trap as the pool only gets sun for a limited time so great for sunbathing. Sunshine the cockatiel could be singing all day and evening from the lobby which was great too."

"Impressed from the first second we arrived to the last. arrived at 1am and were given a lovely snack and drink. room was spotless and well maintained. staff were exemplary. pools great. first hotel as you enter sissi, so nice and quiet . but only 15 min walk from town centre along coast road or main road. next to the sea where you can use free beds. but no sand and swimming would be difficult, very rocky. but lovely to sit and sunbathe or find a rock pool to lie in (natures jacuzzi). perfect spot to view sunset. free shuttle to a lovely beach. a few tavernas along main road and in town centre and some bars but definitely a family/couples kind of place. very small town. would recommend AMELIA, great food, staff, atmosphere, value. because its a small town off the main highway the local bus only runs once a day early. 9:30 out 2pm back in, so if you like to get out and about , book some trips or hire a car. there are taxis too. checked out at 11am but they allow you to get a shower and use hotel towels at anytime after that before transfer which was a nice touch."

"Cannot speak highly enough of the staff and their service in this lovely calming hotel. We stayed in an apartment which is a few metres across the lane from the main hotel entrance. Our apartment was very spacious and scrupulously cleaned every day. In terms of the staff, no question is unanswered and it is like being amongst friends da. Kostas, Katerina and Artemis were very welcoming and smile/greet guests whenever they se you. The breakfast has ample choice and varies some traditional type Greek pies or eggs some days. All of the food is great quality and the staff at breakfast have the same positive attitude to service as anyone else. George who worked afternoons and evenings during our stay was also helpful in arranging local car hire which was immaculate in quality and service. The pool area is very relaxing, plenty of shade from the hot afternoon sun and luckily no ridiculous sun-bed reservers were noticed during our stay. The location is only 10 minutes walk from tavernas and bars/cafes/shops in the village and local beaches can be walked to if you can brave longer walks in the sunshine. In case you still have any remaining doubts, dismiss them and press the ‘book’ button immediately, you won’t regret it."

"Nice stay at this hotel, staff friendly and everything clean and well kept. Food good quality sometimes could have been a bit hotter but good selection. Pool area clean was easy at this time of year to find a sun lounger. Shops, bars and restaurants all nearby. No dauly entertainment and limited evening entertainment too. Stefanos tours nearby will sort you out for trips at a reasonable price. We were recommended the happy train tour around the area but it wasn’t interesting and the driver wasn’t happy after arguing with a group who tried to get onto the train before the driver was ready for them."
