"I stayed here for two nights, booked through two different platforms. They upgraded me to a cabin with a kitchen, which was very convenient since I had my own car. The owners were welcoming and provided simple yet attentive service. It's very close to Seal Beach, and they put the key in the designated key box when I left. It felt like a vacation here—peaceful, relaxing, with ocean views at any time. I could easily cook my own meals, and the weather wasn't too cold, thanks to the electric heater. A comfortable place to stay. Highly recommended and thumbs up! 👍"

"Excellent location by the port. Originally called Welcome Apartments, it is now called Hotel Vest Mar; ended up spending a good half an hour figuring that out. The onsite parking makes it quite convenient to carry luggage up and down, however there is no lift at the property, so be prepared. Would definitely recommend if you plan to spend at least some time indoors as the room is immaculate, with lot of space."

"Beyond expectations, the architecture is beautiful. The common areas are spacious, and during the off-season, there were only about 10 young people staying. You can cook simple meals. It seems most foreigners here eat pasta. The town itself is also very charming."

"Surprisingly an amazing place, I was not expecting such a pretty location too. The nearby hiking trail between Hellnar to Arnarstapi was beautiful. Probably one of the best bookings during my Iceland trip because the room was a good size, with lots of various storage space options, and many great amentities. I appreciated the mini fridge and kettle which isn’t really common in Iceland hotels. The bathroom was nice and clean too. Staff were friendly! Just a fantastic place!"

"Stayed at the Arnarstapi cottages one night on our way to Olafsvik. The cottages had a great view for Northern Lights. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant was really good. The cottage was warn and cozy and we will definitely stay there again if we are in the area."
