"My mate Paul gale booked this hotel if you can call it that for our lads ski trip The room was like sleeping in an industrial oven on a slab of concrete with a sock filled with one piece of cotton wool as a pillow Breakfast consists of one boiled egg, a bruised apple and if your lucky you can bag one of the 2 pastry’s on offer Once your back from your days skiing you won’t find a bar open or be able to make a drink in your room so you have to walk a small marathon to the town to get something of you want to save some time there a shortcut cross country off road track you can walk down so bring your hiking boots In short most prisons have better breakfast options and better pillows but my mate wanted to save 10 euro so well done cheers Paul"

"Yet again a truly wonderful holiday at the Bergland hotel! What makes it special is the outstanding design plus the staff many of whom have worked there for decades. In service we again had the pleasure of first class waiters Fenec, Robin (soon to be sommelier), Helena and her sister plus many more. Breakfast buffet is wonderful and the a la carte dining too notch! Reception staff has been starkly upgraded - the team is responsive and very guest-focussed (thanks Bas and others!) Bar staff is also excellent and they can prepare any cocktail of your liking. Not least thanks so much to Sara for hosting our ski safari this time and spending so much time with us (best of luck for your endeavours). Also wonderful to see co-owner Siggi again who takes his time to speak with all guests. Only considerable downside this time was the SPA service. While facilities are great service is sub-standard. We booked a massage and were allocated a slot, no asking about preferences, prior medical history, welcome for intro. No info on prices were provided (€89). We were allocated a male therapist without checking if we’re comfortable with that and when noting that we were not the staff didn’t bother and still didn’t change. The massage then was awkward and hastily conducted as also the therapist realised us being uncomfortable. When we asked to speak to the SPA manager they didn’t revert. Our table neighbours noted a similar occurrence where their teenager daughter also was treated by the male therapist without checking if they felt comfortable. Further the dress code in the sauna area was not enforced which again made the visit uncomfortable. As we very much love the hotel we hope this issue will be addressed."

"A beautiful hotel, very modern and clean, you can see that recently renovated. Rooms have all the facilities and their kitchen. Excellent cleaning and very caring staff. Free parking on the street. Located next to the Giggijoch lift. I definitely recommend it."

"Spent a joyous 6 nights here recently. Our room was thankfully ready early and we were greeted at reception and given some great information and advice about both the Hotel and Sölden itself. Our room was lovely, spotless and had a great balcony overlooking the slopes. The walk to a Gondola is easy and there plenty of ski rental places en-route. They have ski/board storage and spa facilities ( which we didn't use) The walk to town and ski buses is also close by. The breakfast is wonderful and plentiful.... I'd highly recommend staying here especially as the staff were really kind and helpful. Thank you."

"Great place to stay for skiing. Refurbishment is great quality. Staff are superb. To be able to relax in the Grizzly bar before the evening meal is perfect. I can’t give it 5 stars as the pool is too cold, and the lift will decide to go to any other floor but where you are. All this said, we are returning in March."

Breakfast was delicious and extensive, including fried eggs, warm rolls, and fresh fruit. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The offered summer card was also a bonus, allowing us free use of the lifts and public transport. We had a wonderful holiday at Hotel Schonblick in Solden."
