"Today, I was given the very best service from Dawa at the Mountain View Lodge in Lukla. On my way home after a 6 week expedition on the mountains, I needed a way back to Kathmandu urgently. Dawa spent the entire morning, carrying my expedition duffels to secure flight to Kathmandu. When weather changed, he arranged immediate refund and ran down to the helipad to secure me a discounted, shared heli to Kathmandu. What really stood out was the staff’s warmth and efficiency. They remembered us from our first stay and greeted us like old friends the second time around. I even got laundry done at a very reasonable price, which was such a treat during the trek! The meals were consistently great, with generous portions and beautifully presented dishes, and the dining room had such a welcoming vibe. Namche is a bustling stop on the trail, but this lodge gave us a peaceful and comfortable haven both times we stayed.
