The hotel bedding was very comfortable. It was the most comfortable night in my 10+ days trip to the United States. "The hotel is old and appears renovated at some point but perhaps not by contractors experienced in finish work. Overall, nice stay because we made it a nice stay for us. DO NOT PAY FOR THE BREAKFAST. TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. Floors were squeaky so we heard walking until wee hours of the morning. Choose a top floor if you can. Cleaning crews were noisy in the morning right outside our door so don't count in sleeping in pass 9:00 AM. Toilet was loose and rocked as you sit. Shower and sink had mold in the grout joints giving the impression of unsanitized although the smell of bleach upon arrival was quite strong. Our window had wood rot and the crank was broken so the window could only be pushed or pulled open by the muntins. Hotel was a bit pricey for what you get but this is a tourist destination so expect mediocre for high price."

"I booked this hotel after seeing its interesting description on Ctrip. I knew from the reviews that it's a self check-in hotel, so I was mentally prepared for that. However, upon arrival, when I called the hotel staff for the check-in code, I ran into an issue. It turned out I had provided an incorrect phone number during booking, which led to the hotel initially refusing to give me the code, and eventually, they even stopped answering my calls. Fortunately, I had local friends who helped me get in touch, and Ctrip customer service was incredibly helpful and patient in assisting me to reach the hotel. Eventually, I was informed that a credit card guarantee was required before they could provide the check-in code. A heads-up for fellow Chinese travelers: for security reasons, it's generally not advisable to share credit card details (including the three-digit CVV code on the back) over the phone. Therefore, Chinese guests planning to stay here will need to visit the front desk of their sister hotel, which is about a 2-minute drive away, to swipe their card and pay the deposit in person. This approach will help avoid many potential misunderstandings that might occur during phone communications."

"There is no elevator to go upstairs, and the breakfast is quite simple. When I booked, I requested a 1.5-1.8-meter bed, but I was actually given a 1.5-meter bed. I asked the front desk if I could have a 1.8-meter bed in one room, but they said no and I would have to pay extra. It is quite convenient to travel around, as it is located in a small Danish town."
