"I loved this hotel and the staff. The bathroom was big, clean, and well appointed with large sink/counter, large shower, and even slippers. The bed is wonderful - comfortable with very nice bedding. Thank you to Ilaria for helping book our taxi back to the train station. Location is safe with a fun vibe. I regret we will miss the breakfast. Post COVID quality can vary from pre COVID. Not here! Beautiful building with character and elegance."

"On Saturday, December 20th, my partner and I stayed at this hotel in Sondrio. Initially, they assigned us a freezing room. After we complained and waited in vain for the owner to intervene, at my insistence, they changed our room. The room was 7.8 square meters! The gap between the bed and the wall was 25-30 cm! The bathroom was 1.2 x 1.5 meters! The shower stall was 60 x 60 cm! By law, a hotel room must be at least, I emphasize, 14 square meters! I don't understand how this hotel was classified as a three-star."

"We spent a few days in this splendid structure overlooking the valley with a wonderful view. Very comfortable environment. Clean, new, pet friendly and above all Lucia's kindness and friendliness was top. I forgot...also a remarkable breakfast. We had a very good time Silvia and Samuele"

"We rented 2 efficiencies (monolocali) and 1 one bedroom apartment (bilocale) for 2 families with older children. The units were spotlessly clean, well endowed with kitchen utensils and had comfortable beds. Overall they were tastefully decorated with new furniture. The underground garage is a great asset, particularly in the winter. They are located just steps from downtown Sondrio and very affordably priced considering that Valtellina is very touristic and a poopular destination for people from Milan. There was little traffic noise and the apartments are bright having large windows (on two sides in the case of the monolocale). Sondrio is a clean and tidy (but sleepy and subdued) provincial capital with good access to great walking and biking trails (like the Sentiero Valtellina) and the ski resorts of Bernina Valmalenco (＜30 min) and Aprica (about 40 minutes). Sondrio is also close to Tirano which is the terminal of the Bernina red train that connects Tirano to St.Moritz. There are some great restaurants steps away from the lodge. Overall, staying at Piazzi House was a great idea and Alessio, the manager, is wonderful as others have also shared. He was very attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to make our stay a success."
