Chinook Cabins & RV Park ★★★

"September 12, 2025 I wanted to take a few minutes to brag on Chinook RV Par in South Fork, Colorado. The owners, Keith and Cheryl Johnson, are friendly, helpful, and most accommodating. Keith is always there to help with any issues [which are rare] one might have and is always willing to talk to the campers. Cheryl is also there to help in the office & takes time to visit the campers, plus, she sells fresh eggs! Several of the campers stay as long as four months, we stay three! We travel with a 42’ toy hauler and the sites are large enough to park your truck or toy beside the RV. There are aspen trees behind the camper & a picnic table on site. The size of the park is perfect to get to know your neighbors through campfires, potlucks, card games, visiting with your neighbors, or gathering a group to take a trail ride. Chinook RV is family-friendly, pet-friendly, and has great trails for hikers. Lastly, the are quaint log cabins, laundry facilities, bathrooms and all cleaned daily. Did I mention full-hookups and Wi-Fi??? We love the environment offered by Chinook!! Thomas Vaden, McRae, AR"

"I did not realize that this motel was unattended and that I needed to go through hoops to get my room number and an access code. I would not have booked it if I had known that. The room was as basic as I've ever seen, The trim on the walls baseboard and ceiling was simple 1x2 pine boards caulked with white caulk and unpainted. The bathroom vanity was 2x6 frame again unpainted supporting a granite top, The front of the wall unit was damaged so there were no louvers and it was really noisy. I placed to chair in front of it to direct the air away from the bed. TV worked and WIFI worked fine. The load AC unit drained out and other noise if there was any."

"Stayed in the RV park. Was greeted by both owners. Park was clean and quiet. Convenient location to town. We have our own WiFi but I was told the parks went down for a day. That’s typical of most RV parks. Sites have enough room for coach and towed vehicle. Most have a view of the mountains. We will stay there again."
