"We were absolutely gutted to have to return home after one of our best holidays ever. The owner and his wife are charming and nothing is too much trouble. The Bulgarian speciality breakfasts were the highlight of our day. Fantastic location in a very quiet area with Central Beach (the best beach) a 10 minute walk away and the great restaurants in the old town a gentle 18 minute stroll. Along with the fruit shop there is a pharmacy and a pastry shop at the end of the road. We stayed in room 42 which has a lovely view of the bay and was worth the fourth floor climb! We can’t wait to return."
Blu Bay Hotel Sozopol
"This was our first trip to Eastern Europe. My husband researched all the hotels around this area and found this one to be the best. Definitely the proximity to the old town, the beach, all the restaurants made this hotel perfect, everything so centrally based. The rooms are cute and clean and the cleaners are very nice and always helpful. We had our clothes laundered a few times and it was done promptly. The bathrooms have great large showers with great water pressure and it’s nice to have a separate closed toilet space. There are cute toiletries for children. They are very generous with toiletries. We had a studio and so our lanai was large and the second room we had was a little smaller, but still a fine room. It was fun to host our other family members. There is a great, beautiful wading pool on the top floor, to keep cool during the hot summer month that our family enjoyed multiple times with immediate Bar service and snacks. The gentleman and lady who helped at breakfast and pool were always helpful. We also utilized the spa service. The masseuse was excellent and very strong and we all enjoyed our deep tissue massages. Just as a comment, it would be nice after a massage to be offered a water or tea. Our package included breakfast with free champagne toast. It was lovely with enough options for children and adults. We ate one night at the hotel restaurant Beluga, but because there were so many other restaurants in town, it was the only night. One of the servers was a little impatient, and the food was OK but fine, maybe less variety on the menu to offer than in town. however, we loved Giovanni, she was exceptional because she was warm and patient. So again, we really enjoyed the eight days we spent at this beautiful hotel. It definitely seems the most modern with most amenities. My only gripe with the hotel was that our particular room 109 had a non-functioning AC controller panel. And it did seem to be an issue with keeping our room cool. Usually by the afternoon time our room was as hot as outside. If you had small children or pets that we’re staying in the room, it would’ve been extremely uncomfortable. We always left during the day because we knew the room would be too hot for our son. On four separate occasions and days, we went to ask the front desk for help on our air conditioning unit. They did say they tried to check on it including from a central location. Our AC controller never worked. We never saw anyone enter our room or attempt to actually fix it or the panel. But they said it was not an issue with the panel. One of the staff did suggest that because our room was a little larger, it would never be cold enough. However, having booked two separate rooms we do know that the other room cooled perfectly well. We were a little disappointed that we were not changed to a room with a functioning AC or something else was done besides being told by the front desk that it was checked and checked again and rechecked and getting th"
Hotel Antea - by the Sea
"Very well located hotel, overlooking the sea, in a beach style, with minimalist rooms. The caveats are the fact that there are no sockets next to the beds and the mandatory half board. There are many excellent restaurant options there and being forced to dine at the hotel is not the best option: despite the good food, little seafood and very poor and slow service in the restaurant. Oh, when you were returning from the beach, around 3pm, when you want to take a shower, they were cleaning up the rooms."
Viva Mare Beach Hotel by Santa Marina
"Great hotel in a lovely setting. Rooms are good with a nice walk in shower. Staff great particularly the girls at the beach bar , Vicky at breakfast and Gabriella at the Appolina. The two main pools and the beach have lifeguards the older guy is very attentive. Loved seeing the birds flying around the main pool but a daily cleaning would be good the decking and sun beds are a bit dirty"
Aquamarine
Sunset Art Hotel
"A Chic Beachfront Hidden Gem!We had an incredible stay at Sunset Art Hotel in Chernomorets! The location is right on the beachfront, making it incredibly easy to disconnect and relax by the sea. The hotel itself has a unique soul—it is beautifully decorated with original art everywhere you look. The highlight for us was definitely Sayulita, the rooftop Mexican restaurant. Having a delicious breakfast there with a view of the Black Sea was the perfect start to our days, and their tacos and cocktails at night were amazing. Plus, hotel guests get a 10% discount on every visit! Free parking and free Wi-Fi made our stay completely stress-free. We will definitely be back next summer!"
Royal Calisto Hotel
"Perfect location, lovely and romantic atmosphere, wide and clean room"
Green Life Apartments Sozopol
"Resort itself is very good . But the restaurant on site prices are double of all other restaurants food ok but service poor they brought out all mains and starters together so went cold quick when I said take one of starters away the young waitress said she couldn't because she had given the order to the chef when trying to talk to her she just walked away very rude. The pools are nice but not once did I see the pools get cleaned there is some black mould on the tiles at bottom.there is no private beach as advertised. The beachfront and roads are like the UK in the 70s. Beach restaurants are ok for food but are just wooden shacks. Wouldn't come back."

JI Hotel
"Excellent quality, both for the rooms as well as for the services and food, definitely higher than the 3* category formally assigned to the place 👍! Owners are very nice and pleasant to interact, all very natural, nothing over-pushed 👌! They took great care of setting up the place with a clearly shown attention to the smallest details, combining this as well with their passion for art. Very well done, Ilyana and Yordan 👏🎩! Nicely positioned small beach, right in front of the hotel, which makes the whole picture even more complete 👍! All in all, exquisite quality without opulence is the recipe for the very relaxing holiday we just spent in JI Hotel in Sozopol ✌! We will definitely return !"
