"This is my favourite place to stay in Barbados after visiting the island 7 times, having tried a few hotels and apartments on the west coast. We had a lovely large apartment with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, a large lounge and kitchen. Outside there was a large terrace and plunge pool. All of the staff at reception we met were extremely friendly and helpful. Hainsley was on the beach most days and set up loungers and an umbrella for us and was very nice to chat to. After several visits to different parts of the island we felt that this was the nicest beach we had been on. We also liked the large roped off swimming area which meant we didn’t have to worry about passing jet skis. We managed to see turtles whilst snorkelling on most days as well as lots of fish on the reef. Speightstown is very close to Port St Charles and there are quite a few good options for drinks and dinner. We particularly enjoyed the live music at Little Bristol and dinner on the beach at Local and Co. Looking forward to returning in the future."

"We have spent ten nights at ginger Lilly apartment in sungold house and it’s been amazing. The area around the apartment is safe and clean with a mix of locals and ex pats. Across the road is the best beach in Barbados, Heywoods and it’s just a five minute walk. In fact apart from jumping on the bus to visit hometown (easy with the bus stop barely five mins away) we have walked to everything really easily. Loads of great restaurants, supermarkets and cafes are right on your doorstep. The apartment itself was really kindly stocked with essentials for the first couple of days and spotlessly clean. Both bedrooms had their own bathrooms and aircon. Fully stocked kitchen if you wanted to cook too. Comfy bed and sofas and a small pool for the three apartments to share. No noise from the other residents which was lovely and loads of parking outside if you do hire a car. Jan was on hand with any questions but we settled in with no problems at all. Oh and wifi was free and fast too. We will definitely be back"

"This is our second year returning to Port St Charles and after several years visiting Barbados and staying in different accommodation on the west coast this is now our favourite place to stay. The apartments are homely, super clean, and very comfortable. The pool area at the marina has lovey comfy sun-beds, you can call reception and they get your beach beds and umbrella put out for you, the beach is beautiful and great to snorkel. The staff are fabulous and very friendly and helpful. Shakera organised our booking and was excellent and another member of the reception team ( her name began with V apologies for forgetting ) leant my husband her own phone charger as he had forgot his - and was very kind . I honestly believe the service here is exceptional in all the areas,’ Location wise we had a car but the bus stops outside and takes you anywhere - it’s a 10 minute slow walk into Speightstown which has great restaurants and bars, I would totally recommend staying here."
