4-Star Hotels in Los Angeles

The AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles was a really pleasant stay overall. It's one of those hotels that's more minimalist, clean, and practical. The biggest plus is definitely the excellent location. Being downtown, it's super convenient to get everywhere, whether it's tourist attractions, business districts, or exhibition venues. Getting around saves a lot of time, which is very friendly for independent travelers. The room itself followed a simple and clean aesthetic, nothing too fancy, but it was tidied up very comfortably. It's the kind of place that makes you feel at ease, without feeling cramped or dated. The public areas were also kept very clean!

This hotel is conveniently located near the airport and offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport, running 24 hours a day every 15 minutes. When departing, you wait at the bus stop outside the lobby door 5 minutes beforehand. You'll need to load your own luggage onto the bus, but the driver will help you place it on the luggage rack. Just tell the driver your terminal or airline, and they'll stop and remind you. The hotel also provides complimentary luggage storage. Each floor has an ice machine, and there's even a microwave in the ice room. There are many rooms on each floor. I checked in at 5 PM and was given a room on the 5th floor, all the way at the end. Since it was only for one night, I didn't bother asking to switch, but dragging my luggage across the carpet to the furthest room was quite tiring, especially considering it's a 15-story hotel. They provide two complimentary bottles of water in the room, which was a first for me in my 15 nights in the US. The double beds are very large, and the room itself is spacious with a big sofa. There are plenty of charging ports by the bed. The only downside is that the bathroom isn't very big, with the toilet and bathtub being uncomfortably close together. However, the water pressure is incredibly strong! I was a bit worried after reading reviews about low water pressure, but it was surprisingly powerful, making for a very comfortable shower. I met a very nice housekeeper on the 5th floor in the evening. For check-out, there's a box by the elevator where you just drop your room key and card holder.

Staying here was very convenient. The staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean, and they were cleaned every morning. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place. So close to KIA FORUM and airport. for people who need to attend the concert is so convenient.

Disappointing stay - great staff, but the room was a letdown.  While the lobby and valet staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rest of the experience was far from satisfactory. Throughout my stay, the main elevators were rarely functional, forcing us to use a smelly service elevator on multiple days. The room itself was poorly designed and maintained. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, and the layout made it impossible to watch TV from the bed. Lighting was dim, and the lack of a vanity - combined with a bathroom mirror that had poor lighting - made getting ready very difficult. To make matters worse, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, as we found hair from previous guests around the tub. Additionally, the tub lacked a handrail, making it difficult to get in and out safely.  Lastly, despite booking a breakfast-inclusive rate, we were still charged an 18% tax. Honestly, we would have been better off going to McDonald’s. Despite the great service from the staff, the facility issues mean I wouldn’t stay here again, even for free.

Located near the airport, the hotel offers a convenient shuttle service. Getting around the airport area is very easy. There's a mall and other amenities not far from the hotel. Considering the price isn't outrageous for Los Angeles, the overall value for money is excellent.

The staff were nice and accommodating. They helped us extend our stay without any problems and Jorge helped us arrange our shuttle going to the airport. They have a restaurant and a garden. It is near the metro (about 3 blocks from Historic Broadway and 4 blocks from ) Civic Center/Grand Park) which makes it accessible if you’ll travel without a car. It is also near 7-eleven and Japanese supermarket. The room is spacious and the cleaning staff were helpful in maintaining the room’s cleanliness.

Just had a great 4-day stay at Hilton Checkers Downtown. Check in was easy and all staff were very friendly and accommodating during our whole stay. Being on a Main Street it’s close to food / shops etc, but still very quiet at night so we had a good rest. Beds are great! This is a great hotel for exploring downtown LA. A lot of things can be done on foot. Security / valet attendants outside the front until the late evening as well. Coffee across the street at Dalian’s cafe is perfect too.. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back in future!

Fantastic hotel with friendly staff. Convenient location next to a few large malls. Less than 15 minutes drive to LAX. Rooms were well furnished and decorated. Will recommended.

The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and the location was convenient for getting around. The overall environment was quiet, with complete facilities, and good value for money. My stay was very pleasant, and I would choose this hotel again next time.

This hotel was everything I expected! It's on par with the star-rated Hyatt hotels in China. Many brand-name hotels in the US have mediocre facilities and service, but in China, they're transformed into luxurious five-star hotels with unparalleled splendor. When I first arrived in the US, I had high expectations for hotels of the same brand, so it's inevitable that there's a slight disappointment. However, the Hyatt is first-rate! At check-in, we were greeted with a welcome champagne and complimentary drinks, available at the first-floor restaurant and rooftop bar. The hotel's design, decor, and dining experience exceeded my expectations! Breakfast was served in the rooftop open-air restaurant. The weather was beautiful and sunny when we checked in, and we could see the Hollywood sign in the distance. It was incredibly relaxing, giving us a truly relaxing, vacation-like feel. The king room we booked surprisingly came with a patio with furnished sofa chairs, perfect for enjoying a drink and chatting with family. From check-in to departure, the hotel staff provided a warm welcome every moment. The only downside is that the bustling West Hollywood district is just outside, and you could still hear the clamor of various parties outside until midnight, only settling down later in the evening. But no hotel is perfect. The hotel's strengths outweighed its weaknesses, and the noise wasn't the hotel's fault. I would choose this hotel again.
