Naxos Palace Hotel

"Where to start.. Our rooms weren’t ready when we got there. The front desk guy wasn’t helpful and George, who I guess runs the place really didn’t want to be there. After getting our room, we requested a change, it was small, 1 chair on the balcony, the a/c didn’t work, out lets were covered with tape. The 2 nd room wasn’t much better. There are no coffee makers, the mini refrigerator didn’t work. More tape on outlets. Dirty, the extra bed cover smelled like a Salvation Army complete with moths. The furniture was old, run down. Bed’s uncomfortable. The chairs at the pool were dirty and mostly broken. The 1 star is for the kind bartenders! They were personable and kind. I guess they are hired by George, the boss , to play on a soccer team. Every other place made sure our rides and transports were taken care of. They did not here and we had Had to get a cab at the last minute. They said it would be 15 euros, it was 25 to go 2 miles. It’s off the beaten path, they said the bus system is good, but we never saw it show up. "

"This was definitely the worst hotel we stayed at during our 3-weeks in Greece. Very remote (you cannot walk anywhere), restaurant was terrible (could not even eat the meal), room was basic/minimal at best. I would NOT recommend this hotel."

"Absolutely amazing stay this hotel was welcoming from the time we arrived to the time we left. The rooms were huge we had a pool view and it was fantastic they were so quiet and dark. The pool was absolutely amazing. Breakfast was provided- eggs, bread, cereal, pastries, water cooler and juice. Great coffee machine. It was a 20 minute lazy stroll into the nearest town which had great beach, restaurants, bars and everything you could need. And a 10 to 15 min taxi ride to Chora and ferry port. Bus travel also available .100% recommend this hotel"

"Cannot rate this hotel highly enough - we had a wonderful 6 night stay. It’s so well kept, everything was spotless and very stylish. Rooms well appointed and very comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfasts with gorgeous views. The pool area is a beautiful, peaceful haven. Local places to eat nearby and the staff easily arranged taxis to the main town if needed. We definitely hope to return."

"We absolutely loved our stay here! This is a tranquil haven for those who are looking to relax and recharge. The couple who owns this hotel are kind and welcoming. They are even willing to take you to the port for your next island hop. The rooms are exactly as pictured with gorgeous and bright designs. The bartender will make your favorite drinks or have you try something local and game-changing. The food was delicious, and the breakfast will be something we think back on again and again. Stelida Beach at the end of the dirt road is a quiet gem, and we had it all to ourselves. This hotel is outside of the hustle but 10 minutes, and you can be in the heart of the action if you so choose. When we return to Naxos, we will always stay here"

Naxian Utopia | Luxury Villas & Suites

"Unless you have a car, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the small beachfront town, which is the closest civilization. The walk is quite perilous during the daytime with no sidewalks or shoulder and speeding cars, trucks & buses. A 3 minute taxi ride to the beach town is 20 Euros each way. So $40 Euros just to get to & from the small town. The hotel abuts a water park which thankfully was closed for the season. But when it’s operational during the summer, I can’t imagine the noise from the traffic (dirt roads) and kids. Why would you choose to stay inland, looking at dirt and rocks, when you’re visiting an island? There are plenty of nice hotels near the water and in Naxos City. On the plus side, our spacious suite was nicely appointed and very clean and modern with a beachy vibe. (The private pool with our suite was a nice size, but not very private since the main pool was right above and people could and did look down to check us out and say Hi.) The staff was helpful and the breakfast buffet was good, with a really great coffee machine."
