"Boschendal Estates must rank as one of THE places to stay in the Stellenbosch area. Surrounded by mountains on one side and rolling meadows on the other, the scenery is spectacular, and the location is ideal for visiting vineyards in the region. The Retreat Cottages where we stayed were charming and the staff at both the Deli and Werf restaurants were most helpful. Special mention for Marylise who went out of her way to accommodate our requirements and Peter our young hiking trail guide who persisted despite a severe allergy attack. Great breakfast at the Werf too!"

"This accommodation was like a building site. Newly built my room still had plaster up the wall. Had a bit to walk from the basic reception to our room , hard to find in a block of 4 my room was on the lower level. Basic with no atmosphere. Again quite a walk to the breakfast area. Golf buggies avaiable for guests who find it difficult. Would not stay here again."
