"Excellent choice downtown Suva. Rooms are spotless and large. Gym and washing machines are very convenient. But the wifi is painfully slow at times - so slow that it becomes impossible to even read emails."

"The hotel is located in the center of Suva, the capital of Fiji. It is convenient to go anywhere. The boss is very nice (I later called and found out that he is Chinese, awesome). The hotel had no water due to municipal construction. We didn't know it was an emergency until we arrived that day. But the boss took into consideration that it was inconvenient for us to wash and shower, so she arranged for us to stay in another hotel in their group. That hotel charges a high fee, so they made up for the extra fee. That's great! The location of the other hotel is also very good. It's just a few steps to the Fijian Parliament Building and the famous Pacific Hotel. Therefore, I especially recommend these two hotels to friends who are traveling to Suva for business or tourism!"

"We were upgraded to a room with a sea view. It was good) The service in the bar and restaurants was not very good. The waiters simply forgot about the guests at the table, they carried me and the food for a long time. The massage and manicure were mediocre, they just stroked my body for an hour. I would like to separately say that when checking out, the cost of drinks from the minibar was included in the bill, as if they used it every day, although we did not touch the minibar at all. Therefore, it is worth carefully checking the bill for payment that is offered to you at the hotel. Everything else was great!"

"As an IHG member, I expected to have a better experience. Staff was lovely at check in and check out and porter service was great. A lovely room and incredibly comfortable bed with lots of pillow options. Just disappointed by the bathroom which was tiny and awkward and water did not drain easily in both shower and sink. It was also near the laundry so noisy and not very restful. Great selection of food but be prepared to wait. It is a popular dining spot."

"Perfect location in Suva. First room I stayed in was dated but they moved me to a better room once I complained about the mould smell from the air con. Ask for rooms like 110 that have been renovated. Staff are friendly even if sometimes not as attentive looking at their phones rather than giving full attention on customers. Didn't try the cafe nor the pool but it looked interesting."

"I stayed at James Cook for 2 weeks. The staff were very helpful and understanding. They did the very best to make our stay comfortable. I found the bathroom facilities unacceptable. No shelves for the toiletries when in shower, had to place everything on the floor. When showering the water flowed to the whole bathroom and made it into a swimming pool. Had to ask for thick towels to block water and not make the room wet. there was no security lock for safe keeping. "
