"Was in Suva in need of a quick overnight stay and came across this place. Was told that there were budget $70 rooms available. Now having been in "budget" rooms in Suva before, I was expecting a low quality room and would take anything I could get. To my surprise, the room was very clean and looked just like a normal hotel room, albeit smaller. Aircon and a nice bed and bath were provided. All in all, for last minute budget room, was pleasantly surprised."

De Vos on the Park

"De Vos is very centrally located in the centre of capital city Suva. Many shops, eateries, restaurants, food courts and wet market are within walking distance. Most convenient to go catch a city bus or long distance bus (for instance to Nadi Airport) at the bus terminal. All rooms have ocean view, those on one side enjoy the Sukuna Park view, the others on the other side Suva City view and Harbour view. The building was formerly YWCA Hotel, therefore rather old and dated, and the hotel is constantly under renovation and repairs. Hence guests may need to exercise patience. Internet is provided on request especially for guests staying for business."

"Not a bad place. The room was huge, with a separate living area. Had a bit of dingy feel to it though. WiFi didn't work very well in the room. Didn't have any meals here, as it was a quick stay. But there are some good restaurants a short walk away. They take a $50 cash deposit on check in."
