Hotel bevindt zich op een rustige locatie, mooie tuin met zitplekken in de tuin. Buiten zwembad is er ook. Bij de kamersleutel zit ook een poortbediening, om met de auto het terrein op te komen. Parkeerplaatsen genoeg, ja ook een laadpaal is aanwezig. De eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk, attent en behulpzaam. Kamers zien er echt mooi en verzorgd uit, echt met passie ingericht. Ontbijt heeft veel keuze met verse broodjes.

The InterContinental Chantilly Château Mont Royal. It has an interesting history. The original chateau building was constructed in the early 20th century by the architect Guillaume Tronchet in the Louis XVI style. The chateau was originally built as a country residence for the aristocracy of the early 20th century, and the architecture still shows the features of the ”transition” - the classical austerity of the Louis XVI style is intertwined with the light eclecticism of the Belle Époque. The hotel is located in the Chantilly forest, which creates a sense of a secluded reserve surrounded by Nature . Despite the proximity of Paris (only about 40 km), the hotel remains a quiet refuge in the forest - a feeling of being in a country castle rather than just a hotel. The hotel has 109 rooms and suites, the interiors of which are inspired by the bionic environment, the equestrian traditions of the region and the subtleties of Chantilly lace . Many rooms have a view of the forest, and many have balconies or terraces. Unfortunately, there is a highway nearby, and the noise sometimes reaches the hotel. This disrupts the peaceful atmosphere. The chateau has two restaurants: L'Opera, located in the former music salon, and Le Stradivarius, which occupies the former library. The latter is quite small, and when there are many guests, it can become noisy. The restaurants offer dishes made with local ingredients, such as game, cheese from Picardy, and, of course, the famous ”à la Chantilly” cream. The cuisine is excellent, and I highly recommend it.

Absolutely best stay possible, the place is stunning and very well located, just a short walk away from the castle. The owner is very kind and welcoming too, overall we really appreciated our time there. Shout out to Channel, Dior, Chelsea, Jello and the cats, the cute pets in the property 😁

There are not many hotels that go above and beyond to make you feel like royalty. The restaurant was just as accommodating for my vegan diet. The gardens with the lovely falls colours were not only made a loving stroll but photogenic.

De locatie is prachtig. En ook heel handig was de laadpaal. Voor opladen van je auto betaal je een vast bedrag van 15 euro. Maar er zijn ook wat negatieve punten. Zo is het erg donker op de hele locatie, wat het ingewikkeld maakt om je weg te vinden. Op de bel bij de poort werd niet gereageerd, dus moesten we eerst bellen. We bleken te slapen in een van de bijgebouwen, wat niet heel prettig was vanwege het slepen van spullen, het gebrek aan licht en de trap. Faciliteiten waren verder beperkt. Geen mogelijkheid om koffie of thee te zetten bijvoorbeeld. En douchen kon alleen koud. Al met al viel het nogal tegen, zeker ten opzichte van andere beoordelingen.

Really lovely all-round. I think they upgraded my room from 'Economy' to a lovely one in the main Chateau, and it was lovely - really a suite! The staff were all excellent, and next time I'll be trying the dining room, which seems lovely (and nice to see a waiter in a jacket and black bow tie for once!) Right by the ruins of the castle, and when I left at first light I saw lots of rabbits jumping around!
