Compared to a typical Holiday Inn Express, the facilities here are a bit more basic, and the breakfast selection is more limited. On-site parking is quite restricted; I had to park my car in a public lot a block away. (It’s actually not far at all—only about a 100-meter walk.)"

Things to keep in mind: Parking – There’s a £7.50 per night charge, which feels a bit steep. The website mentions free parking for conference delegates, so it might be worth asking at check-in. Holding Charge – A £50 pre-authorisation is applied to your card. While common in some places, many UK chains no longer do this, so plan ahead if your card balance is tight. TV Experience – The TV system could use an upgrade. Menu and guide functions weren’t available, and picture quality was poor—even on HD channels. Room Details – The room was spotless, but we noticed condensation on the windows and a slight odd smell on arrival. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. Overall: The hotel offers the comfort and space you’d expect from a reputable brand, but a few details—like parking, the TV system, and the holding charge—felt out of step with Marriott’s usual high standards. Still, if you’re looking for a clean, spacious room and good facilities, it’s a solid choice."

"New hotel in the center of Swindon, very convenient, there is already a bar opposite, there are many shopping malls on the street of the town, the hotel is clean, the receptionist is very polite, and I will choose again next time I go to this town."

"I remember watching the hotel being built and said I would never stay there! How wrong I was! It's so quiet and very convenient for everything. Good choice of food for breakfast, even gluten free! The staff were always polite and helpful, replenishing food as it was used. Choice of coffee/tea. Can fully recommend this hotel and would/will definitely stay there again! "The first stop in the UK is not far from here to the Lake District. The hotel is very good, the room is quite big, the breakfast is quite rich It is a very cost-effective hotel in the UK. There are gas stations and supermarkets nearby."

"The personnel was not very well trained and they seemed to be overwhelmed as they were surly. Maybe it was due to easter holiday, but from reception to breakfast team, We would expect to see normal / regular faces not surly one. Also this hotel is below the regular leonardo standards. We suggest to provide water in the rooms as it is a rule of thumb for the service sector for this kind of hotel chain"

"This property is in the heart of downtown Swindon. A Salvation Army shares the building so there were always people hangin out in front. Never felt unsafe, just a bit seedy. Great location in the heart of downtown. Easy to walk to shopping and restaurants. Room was clean and did the job. Can't really complain for the price."

"The hotel was well located as we visited friends in nearby Wootton Basset - reception was courteous and efficient in our check in… we asked for a room way from the lifts and this request was delivered. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Air conditioning worked perfectly given it’s been a very hot few days! Breakfast the following morning had plenty choices and tables were clean and cleared up quickly. Staff in restaurant were very efficient and courteous. Express check- in was good too. Overall a great stay and serves us well."
