"Not in the most salubrious area of Szeged , Gerardus is a short tram ride from the centre, Dom and the river. A medium sized modern hotel, clean and bright and friendly. Bedrooms are large with spacious shower etc in a wet room. Many have a balcony. Fitness suite has jacuzzi, sauna and small pool. The food is amazing - excellent Hungarian cuisine well presented. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for work or pleasure - a little gem"

"A hotel that exceeded our expectations. I would like to give the restaurant and the chef a maximum rating. Extremely tasty food. We have a celiac daughter and for us it was a delight to have gluten free options for both dinner and breakfast. I could compare the breakfast to any 5 star restaurant. A person is constantly in charge of the buffet so that the food looks good. The spa in the hotel is well maintained. The hotel is connected to the Aquapolis aqua park, which I think needs a renovation. The staff in Aquapolis is not as nice as the staff in the hotel. However, the girls enjoyed all the slides. For us it was a very good experience."

"The good things is that we were allowed to pay at the hotel for our stay. But on the other hand, the room didn’t look like in the presenation, the room was Dirty, there were smoked cigarettes on the floor and there was a dirty towel behind one of the beds. More than this, the water served at breakfast had a rusty taste. MORE than this, the bathroom door cannot be called a door, any smell or sound happening in the bathroom will not stay only in the bathroom, nor does it have any ventilation. And the toilet was making a sound every time we would flush the toilet or use the sink, even when our neighbours used them."
