"This was my first trip to Tangshan, and since I was traveling with family during the May Day holiday, I wanted to avoid crowds. So, I opted for a leisurely three-day, two-night stay at Caofeidian Lanyue Bay. Lanyue Bay Hotel was the obvious choice there. With its state-owned background, the service was attentive and warm. The facilities are the best within the scenic area, and the dining and transportation amenities are comprehensive. The hotel is just across the road from the beach, so you can be playing in the sand and enjoying the sea in three to five minutes. We booked a villa room, which was more spacious than the castle rooms. However, there's no elevator, making the upstairs rooms inconvenient for elderly guests. Also, I couldn't find a landline phone in the room; I had to use my mobile to call the front desk, which could definitely be improved. Overall, Lanyue Bay Hotel is my top recommendation. My second choice would be a guesthouse, and beyond that, there aren't many other good options."

A special shout-out to the king-size bed, it's really generous; a family of three with a child can sleep comfortably without feeling cramped. The restaurant food is decent too, not expensive, with large portions and good taste."

"Objective evaluation! Checked in to the twin room, the front desk opened a double room next to the market, very noisy! Then changed to a twin room, the upstairs started to be renovated at 8 o'clock in the morning, the electric drill was buzzing! The breakfast tasted average... The stay experience was not very good!"

Long Island Tourism and Vacation Hotel
"Before going, I read a lot of travel guides and was mentally prepared that "the food on the island won't be very good." Even so, I still can't help but complain about the breakfast—compared to the room rate, it was really cheap and perfunctory. However, the stir-fries and grilled skewers for lunch and dinner were decent, although the prices were on the higher side. But considering it's on an island, the higher costs are understandable, and the dishes we ordered were quite tasty. As for the room. We booked a standard water villa through Ctrip, but only when we checked in did we discover that there was actually no water under the villa. To fish on the balcony, we upgraded to a one-bedroom suite at our own expense. After two days, we figured out the tide pattern: the tide recedes every morning and slowly rises again by noon, perfect for leisurely fishing on the balcony, and we even caught some small sea bass and other pleasant surprises. The accommodation was the most satisfying part of the whole trip. The suite had amenities like electric curtains, but there was no projector or TV, and no refrigerator, which was a bit of a disappointment. Regarding room service, the customer service added us on WeChat upon check-in, and their response time was quite satisfactory when we messaged or called. However, one thing that was a bit uncomfortable was that we stayed for two consecutive nights, spending the entire second day on the island. It was incredibly hot and sunny during the day, so we could only rest in our room. The room only provided two bottles of mineral water per day by default, which was far from enough for three people. We asked customer service for two more bottles, and they provided them, but any further requests would incur a charge – frankly, it wasn't just about the two bottles of water, but it felt a bit unreasonable. I think each situation needs to be analyzed individually. For example, if we checked out on the second day, they could provide a maximum of four bottles of water, since it was only for half a day, but how could four bottles be enough for the entire second day? The biggest takeaway from this trip was that Dragon Island has fewer people, which I liked, but the island's facilities weren't well-developed. Professional tasks should be handled by a professional operations team. I sincerely hope this island will continue to improve."

Then I lost my AirPods (for the second time when staying at this hotel) both times a lovey lady named Cathy made sure I got them back, even contacting the rail company and getting them from the train. Goods great, pool is awesome. Best place to stay when visiting Tangshan and price is great"

"After the reservation is completed, the butler will take the initiative to dock and send a full version of the check-in guide, detailed labeling of the destined location address, smart door lock password, WiFi password and various check-in tips, very intimate. The whole suite has a wide space, the bathroom is extra spacious, the supporting facilities are all available, and the washing machine and refrigerator are fully equipped. The water is abundant, the hair dryer is full of wind; the whole house is clean and odorless, and the bedding is dry and not humid. Parking is also very convenient, very close to Hetou Old Street, within walking distance. Check-in also prepared small snacks and free soda, good service, overall cost-effective, great stay experience."

"By 8:05 AM, there were hardly any hot dishes left at the buffet breakfast. Although breakfast service didn't end until 9 AM, for nearly an hour, the kitchen staff inexplicably failed to replenish them. While the restaurant staff seemed busy, the 'hot' milk was cold and no one bothered to warm it. The lemon water dispenser only contained plain hot water, completely lacking any lemon. The hotel environment was quite good, but the elevators lacked key card access, allowing anyone to go up to the guest floors, which made me feel somewhat insecure. What truly stood out was how incredibly slippery the bathroom floor became with even a tiny bit of water. Please, everyone, be very careful!"
