Ryokan Tsurusou ★★★
"beautiful landscape Small hotel, many old staff, warm and polite, can't speak English but can use a translator Breakfast and dinner are good, but crabs cost extra, 3,000 yuan each, and you can drink all you want with sake (2,400 yeb)"
Kanigoten ★★★★
"loved our star suite 303 and had a wonderful night at kanigoten. crab dinner was exceptional, delighted with the size and taste of the upgraded crabs, were happily stuffed at the end of the meal. staff and service were outstanding, and other facilities were beyond expectation."
Tara Kanko Hotel ★★★
"It was light."
Yatomisou ★★★
"It was old, which I had anticipated, especially given the area is full of traditional inns and the name itself hints at its long history. My primary reason for coming here was to try the Takezaki crab, so booking a package with breakfast and dinner is a must. If the crab isn't your main draw, you might want to look elsewhere. The room was indeed spacious, but unfortunately, we encountered quite a few cockroaches – we probably dealt with 4 or 5, which wasn't a pleasant experience. The location is a bit remote, accessible only via many small lanes. I'd advise against venturing out at night as the paths are very narrow. The dinner set offered plenty of food. While the official website lists more expensive options, booking through other major travel sites usually means a single, predetermined set menu. Still, it was very filling and generally acceptable, though I'm not sure which official set it corresponded to. I tried the crab, and honestly, I found it quite ordinary. The meat was fresh, but both the crab and fish were rather salty. Despite seeing many glowing reviews on YouTube, sometimes you just have to experience it for yourself. After all, when traveling, I always try to sample everything!"
Hoshifururotentokanimabushi Hoyoso ★★★
"The transportation location of the hotel is subjectively not very convenient. We rented a car at the airport and drove ourselves, so mobility was not a problem. Nearby attractions include Oyu Shrine's water torii gate and Yutoku Shrine; and the hotel itself allows people to stay comfortably and enjoy the tranquility and the starry sky for a while😌 The service butler is very considerate and every detail is in place ~ I really feel at home ❤️ The food for two meals for one stay is also amazing, the crab food is great👍🏼 The butler also provided free drinks, thank you very much 💕"
Ichifukuso ★★
"I visited Saga to take photos of the Taikyo Jinja No Kai Chuutori Shrine, and while searching for the cheapest place nearby, I ended up here. As soon as I arrived at the accommodation, the owner greeted me warmly and kindly, saying, "This is my first time having Korean guests." "It's a long distance from here to Taracho, so my daughter will drive me there." My daughter, Amy, was also very kind, offering to pick me up if I called her, as the bus might be out late at night taking photos. I was deeply touched by her kindness. The room I was assigned was spacious and clean, perfect for solo or couples. The breathtaking harbor view from the window was particularly charming and pleasant. There were two bathhouses: a cave bath on the first floor and a large public bath on the second. The cave bath on the first floor had a particularly pleasant atmosphere. The sound of water dripping from the ceiling and the echoes of the cave created a magical atmosphere. The villagers were also friendly and greeted me first when they made eye contact, making it a fun way to chat with people while traveling. It felt like a place. I'd love to share this feeling with others, so if I have time with friends or family, I'd love to stay here again."
Kaijyoukan ★★
"We came as a family of four. The best memory of this trip for our 6-year-old and 4-year-old was the kids' room at Kaijokan... It was a spacious and fun-looking room. The parents chatted while watching their children play after taking a bath. I wish there was coffee. The room was renovated, so it was clean, universal design, and had a hammock, so it was very comfortable. The crab was delicious, and they wrapped up the part we couldn't finish. It's true that the waitress seemed to be concerned about the time we would return, but everyone has their own lives, so it's the same for everyone. That said, I was surprised when I saw the price. I wonder if we paid that much? I don't remember, but it's not a "so-called high-class inn." It was perfect for a family. I lived in Nagasaki for 7 years, but I never knew there was such a wonderful place in Saga. It was a fun fishing port to take a walk in. On the way back, we turned a potter's wheel nearby and then moved on to the next place."
