"Review for The Himalayan Deodar, Kanatal The Himalayan Deodar is beautifully perched on a higher valley road in Kanatal, offering stunning views of the serene surroundings. However, reaching the hotel requires a trek of at least 1 km, during which luggage is transported via ponies. This adds a sense of adventure but may not be ideal for everyone. The location itself is picturesque and peaceful, making it a great spot for groups of friends or 2-3 couples traveling together. However, for a single couple, the remoteness and lack of connectivity during the trek (no network coverage) may raise concerns about safety and convenience. The owner is hospitable and ensures a warm stay, but I would recommend this property more for group trips to fully enjoy its unique location and ambiance. For couples traveling alone, exploring other options closer to the main road or with easier access might be a better choice."

"Very well located facing the valley, snow clad peaks of the outer Himalayan range. A compact hotel encompassing a range of offerings like well located Italian outlet, activity hall, terraces to ponder the peaks so on. They recently underwent though renovation and upkeep maintenance sprucing up the premises. The rooms we stayed were large and contemporary well equipped with heating arrangements even the shower area was large and spacious with latest plumbing. The staff is courteous though the challenges of remote location do hamper the services may be due to shortage of manpower. All in all an excellent place to stay and enjoy the fabulous nature."
