"This old enough hotel is located on the shore of a very picturesque bay. And it is its main asset. Large kitchen rooms equipped with everything necessary for a fairly modest Grenada money. A very decent restaurant was opened nearby."

Allamanda Beach Hotel

Allamanda Beach Hotel ★★★

📍 Grand Anse Beach, Grand Anse, The Lime

"The hotel is right on the beach although only one block has views of the sea. There are cafes and bars nearby and the supermarket is very close. The pool was clean and the staff were very friendly. One bag of coffee is provided each day but there is no kettle. The description did not mention there was a fridge so this was a nice surprise. Free ice is provided from a machine. The wi fi strength was good. Taxis from the airport cost ECD 50. There are no facilities at the hotel as the restaurant was closed and there wasn’t a bar."

Radisson Grenada Beach Resort ★★★★
"Overall we enjoyed our 2-day stay at the Radisson Grenada. The front desk and staff was very friendly. They stored our luggage before check-in no problem, so we could go explore until our room was ready. The room was lovely on the 2nd level over looking the garden, one of the pools and the even had an ocean view. The bathroom is a bit dated and could use a major renovation. When we first came into our room the fridge was empty, but turned on and had leaked water all over the floor. (A big chunk of ice had been melting in the back of the fridge). Not a problem, we used the bathroom floor mat to dry it. The tv worked for watching cable channels, but the Google Chromecast set-up did not work (and this isn't user error, I've used this many times in other hotels just fine). a/c worked just fine and the balcony was a lovely feature with beautiful view. The main big pool and grounds with the waterfalls are beautiful and we much enjoyed a bit of time there. The pool bar was okay, the service there was quite slow and inattentive. We had one dinner meal during our stay there, which was okay, but we have to say the breakfast was terrible. Most items were inedible and the selection was very strange. They tried to put out a mix of continental and Caribbean breakfast, but most of the dishes were inedible. It is a buffet style breakfast, however, you can not go up and grab your own food, there are about 4 members of staff that have to plate your food from the buffet onto your plate. It's a bit awkward and gets jammed up as soon as there are more people having breakfast. The chef needs to go over the books what "French Toast" is. Yes, French Toast is made with day-old, dryer bread, but that bread needs to be soaked through in a milk and egg mix. Well, the chef just took really dry bread, coated it with a bit of egg wash and cooked it on either side. So while there was egg batter on the outside of the toast, the toast itself was completely dry and inedible. We tried all the meals from the breakfast buffet during our stay and the only item that was relatively well done, was the salt fish. The plantains were dripping in grease, the sausages tasted off, the scrambled eggs were hideous and the pancakes tasted like cardboard. The selection of cold things was also strange. There was only one choice of cereal, so you're out of look if you are allergic or have a dislike to one of the ingredients. The selection of cold meat and cheese was meager (and again you cannot take it yourself from the buffet), the fruits weren't ripe and they only offered one choice of yoghurt, which "peach" during our stay. Usually in a hotel there is at least plain yoghurt and a neutral cereal with oats available. It's just disappointing and not acceptable for the price you pay for a room and the hotel class they claim themselves to be. We would stay in this hotel again, due to its location, the clean rooms and nicely decorated rooms, the beautiful grounds and overall friendly staff. Luckily there are many restaurants around the area even within a just 10 minute walking distance. And there is a small independent restaurant just on the side of the hotel property called "Beachside Bistro Grenada", which offers a decent dining experience."

Blue Star Apartments & Hotel ★★★★
"During my 1.5-year stay at Bluestar Apartments, I encountered significant issues with the owners, prompting this negative review. Despite the commendable efforts of the on-site staff, my experience with the owners has been disappointing, as it appears their primary focus is on extracting money from tenants rather than ensuring a positive living experience. My dissatisfaction stems from two incidents involving the same cleaning lady, which resulted in damaged items. In one instance, my perfume was broken, and despite numerous discussions, the owners refused to take responsibility. Their suggestion of acquiring "personal insurance" for a perfume seemed unreasonable. Eventually, they offered a mere $20 credit for a $120 perfume, an inadequate resolution. The second incident occurred during the last few weeks of my stay. Returning home after a long day on campus, I discovered my shower glass was broken—the same day the cleaning lady had been present. Despite informing management, they not only failed to apologize for the second instance of their staff breaking an item but shockingly charged me over $470 USD for the damages. Their lack of communication and tendency to act as if they were doing a favor by engaging in conversation exacerbated the situation. I attempted to address the issues privately, delaying this negative review, but the owners not only ignored my attempts to communicate but also exhibited a complete lack of responsiveness. As a student on a tight budget relying on loans, these unexpected charges for someone else's mistakes were particularly burdensome. I take great care of my belongings and find it implausible that I would break a tempered glass shower door under normal circumstances. This incident suggests either faulty materials or internal damage to the glass, which the owners unjustly attempted to blame on me. Despite the negative interactions with the owners, I must acknowledge the positive aspects of my overall experience. The rooms were clean, the facility well-maintained, and the employees were exceptional. My sense of security and satisfaction, however, was marred by the unprofessional and profit-driven behavior of the owners."

"Booked this hotel having stayed there before. This time we were upgraded to the Kalinago Hotel next door at no extra charge. Both are located on a small idyllic beach with beach-side bars serving drinks and food. Reception staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Absolutely pure Caribbean atmosphere."

Blue Horizons Garden Resort ★★★
"I have just returned from Blue Horizons and would not hesitate to stay here again, when we arrived we were greeted by the owner with a complimentary rum punch drink, we were shown to our room which is like a little bungalow room located in the grounds beautiful gardens. The room has air conditioning and a fan above the bed with a shower room and a kitchen area. We also had a nice balcony area to sit and admire the beautiful gardens. Most days we had the pool area to ourselves with bar staff on standby to supply us with food and drinks. The bar served a fantastic range of drinks and amazing cocktails at very reasonable prices. The food the hotel served was very nice with a good selection. The hotel is located a small 5 minute walk from Grand Anse beach which is the longest beach on the island with clear blue water with lots of fish and coral. A small 15 minute walk is BBC beach which is also very good. The hotel is also close to local restaurants and a shopping mall with a great supermarket stocking a good range of fresh food. The hotel is in a great location and is only 10 minutes from the airport as well. I cannot wait to come back to Blue Horizons and have some more relaxing times."
