"The hotel is charming and with a lot history. It has a really nice garden, and is located in the centre of the small town Rjukan. The Town itself is not very charming, but is close to the Gaustatoppen mountain and Vemork, with all its World War II history. Upon check the receptionist show you your room. A little to much, maybe, but it might be smart and shows friendlyness. We did not eat dinner at the hotel, so we can not rate that one, but breakfast was an extra ordinary, and something we hadn't experienced before. Not the normal buffet, but a menu from where you could choose. It takes some more time than the buffet, but I guess this is anyway a hotel where you typically have good time when you visit (unfortunately, we did not). We will certainly come back with our wifes, and a lot of time to enjoy a three course dinner and a long breakfast."

"A chic hotel with a chic area around. The pool is very warm as well as the jacuzzi, I advise this hotel for accommodation. It is better to come for at least 3 nights."

"We had a great apartment with two large picture windows overlooking the ski slope and Gaustatoppen. The ‘plat du jour’ meal each evening was excellent quality ( note no choice unless you have dietary requirements notified in advance). We are foodies and can honestly say the duck and beef main courses were one of the best cooked we have ever had. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Use of the free Gausta shuttle bus was essential to get to the other areas of the resort as the hotel is some distance from the main hub. A blue red and green ski slope are all accessible directly from the ski locker across the road from the hotel so definitely ski in ski out."
