That is until you set (bare)foot in the sands of Cucu Hotel. This place is in a league of it's own. It's hands found one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at, but what really elevates it is the Service. Rolando and the Team are constantly finding ways to improve your stay. Not a grain of sand (literally) is left unturned and it could not be easier and more comfortable to be a guest."

"I was the weekend with my family and really wanted to stay there at least a week more, the hotel is very nice is small but every detail has been exquisitely careful, it is a warm, relaxing atmosphere, Rooms are comfortable there is no TV but no strange, have a very nice terrace with hamacas where you can enjoy the fresh air and the restaurant is excellent in the price of the room include continental breakfast which is very good Quality and the best is Pet Friendly!"

"What a lovely spot! It's not the easiest place to get to but well worth it. The rooms are comfortable with beautiful views of the gulf. Each room has two comfy chairs and a table outside the room. Breakfast is included and is quite good. Every meal we had there was tasty. The pool was clear and the loungers were comfortable. It would be nice if there were beach chairs that could be carried down to the water. El Cuyo is not the place for those who need constant entertainment, bars on the beach and a vibrant nightlife. What makes Casa Cielo stand out are the people who work there. Every single person was kind and helpful. They made out stay outstanding. Unfortunately, I had a medical issue and had to head back to Cancun to the Hospiten. Walter made all the arrangement for our transportation there. He even checked in with my husband to see how I was doing. I was extremely pleased with our stay at Casa Cielo."

"The boutique hotel in El Cuyo, Mexico, exceeded all our expectations. The staff, especially the manager (Rolando), went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. His recommendations for restaurants and activities was right on, and the morning breakfast delivered to our balcony was so yummy. There are complimentary bike rentals which provided us with the perfect mode of exploration for enjoying meals, yoga, shopping, and other activities in the area. Our time at CUCU HOTEL was so fun and everyone felt like family. We definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in El Cuyo. I don't need to add pictures to my review because the pictures on their website represent it perfectly."

"Small hotel close to beach (not waterfront and no sea view) in El Cuyo. Furthest north from downtown, about 15 mn walk. The hotel is poorly staffed and doesn’t have a soul. We were there over the holiday period and there was nothing festive about the experience. We stayed for 3 nights, the bar was open only the first night (at dusk till about 8pm, not sure if the restaurant actually offers dinner , that was unclear), there was zero service the following two nights, including on New Year’s Eve. Management had a party going on at a sister property about 7 minutes walk away, but that should not have have implied no service staff whatsoever at Lunarena from 5pm! The rooms are nice and spacious but beds are small doubles. We chose the hotel because there is a kite school on site, but in reality the kite school is not staffed every day."
