"Our stay at Hakuraku Onsen Taishikan was really comfortable. They kindly provide light snacks for midnight treats, and the whole place is relaxing and spotlessly clean. There are many bugs around the surrounding area, but best of all, there were no bugs inside my room! Breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious with special ingredients. The breakfast tofu was especially tasty. We will definitely come back again!"

"1. The hostess was very smiling. 2. The location is a 15-minute walk from Tochigi Station, which is quite tiring for independent travelers, especially with the gravel pavement. 2. The room has an air conditioner, but you have to go outside to use the shared toilet and shower, which is freezing cold in winter, especially at night. 3. The facilities are poor. The Japanese-style room only has a small A4-sized table with no chairs or cushions. 4. The public facilities are messy and I don't want to use them at all."

"I stayed in a detached building. The sliding doors, tatami mats, and the toilet at the end of a long corridor reminded me of my grandmother's parents' house, which I visited as a child. The building is old, but it seems to be well-kept, and There are two private toilets, both with washlets, so they are very clean. The bath is available for private use and is very spacious. However, it is only open until 10:00 PM, so I think it would be even better if it was open in the morning as well. I was soothed by the old-fashioned, charming space."

"I stayed in a Japanese-style room in this hotel 10 years ago and it was a very good experience. I booked a double room this time. The facilities were a bit outdated. There was a musty smell when I first entered the room. Just spray it with the deodorant on the table and it will be fine. The location of the hotel is very good. It is in the center of Tochigi. It is only a few minutes away from the Babami River and the old prefectural office. There is a department store across the street. There is a 24-hour convenience store in two or three minutes' walk. The train station is about one kilometer away."
