Untrained and totally inadequate staff. Breakfast with a wide choice, but very poorly arranged, dirty trays, in short, a 4-star structure but 1-star service⭐...."

"Personally, I loved the location and the view. i had a nice stay, enjoyed both pools and would have enjoyed them even more if the weather was on my side. Getting there, however was a nightmare. If you’re traveling solo and not renting a car, the buses have proven highly unreliable. The place is charming and other than a funny smell in the room, everything was alright. The staff was the best part of the stay at Stella D’Oro! They were so warm and helpful with everything, that there’s no fault to find there. It was a great experience if you want a nice and relaxing stay with gorgeous views and mountain top pools. Can warmly recommend"

"Wonderfull view to lake, wonderfull arounds, wonderfull breakfast. Wonderfull hotel that exceeded my expectations due to the view and very good price/quality. You must know Google Maps can guide you to take the "Strada della forra" to get to hotel. This is a marvelous and very scenic route through the mountain, but I recommend it only for experienced and not nervous drivers, because is there are many curves and the lanes are very, very narrow. This route closes the 2 ways traffic during the day. It could meke it easier. In any case, there are other routes, similar time to get to hotel, just take notes and do investigation to prevent to get scared if Google Maps selects that route."

"Everything was perfect, room was lovely, clean and cleaned regularly, comfy, amazing view. All staff were friendly and brilliant. We requested rooms close together, no problem. We left a personal item behind, no problem they have sent it to us. Amazing service. Both pools are fantastic. Food breakfast and dinner was excellent with lots of choice. All other facilities at the complex were superb. The place has a very relaxed feel, it's quiet and cooler in the evenings compared to be being down by Lake Garda, which was a relief. The area is beautiful you can walk off on the many trails by the property, along streams, dip in pools with waterfalls, hike up mountains. The natural environment is outstanding and thriving. Driving down to and exploring lake Garda itself was amazing. All in all a perfect holiday."

"Pro's . The hotel was lovely , great facilities. Clean and well maintained. rooms good size and comfortable . We had a lake view room and the view was stunning and lovely and quiet . Location was a bit out of the town so would need a car as very steep incline to get to hotel .Staff were friendly .Indoor pool / jacuzzi/gym great .The hotel has very good tennis facilitates also if you wanted to make use of . Con's . We had to complain 4 times over our 6 night stay about our air conditioning working only intermittently. 3 of those nights the room was too warm to sleep properly. FOOD - breakfast was the same things every morning , only fresh fruit was melon or apples/bananas plus tinned mixed fruit plus the usual continental breakfast items . Breakfast was buffet which is fine . Dinner has to be pre ordered the night before for starters / mains and you are given a few choices. Dessert was either tinned fruit salad , ice cream or one other dessert which looked pre bought in . Dinner is served from 7.30 pm until 10 pm . One night we went done to Dinner at 8 pm , by the time our mains were served the vegetable section and salad bar had been taken away and they were setting up the breakfast items . Our waiter very kindly got us some boiled potatoes at least to go with our meal . The hotel is supposed to be 4 star and I am guessing they got this due to the faculties but the food for us was not 4 star."
