"If you are looking for a place to stay for a night or two in this part of Ontario, you can't beat the price at the Bayside. I searched all the options! The rooms are basic but very clean; it had a small kitchen with refrigerator and microwave in addition to the bedroom. The owner and other staff were very friendly. We were pulling a pop-up and needed to put it some where to unhook while we went to dinner; the owner (his English a little hard to understand) was very helpful with that. The setting is great, with a large lawn out back leading down to the bay, and restaurants are close by. There seems to be much to explore in this area, but we could only stay one night. The motel is small, so in the summer season, be sure to make a reservation. There was no vacancy when we were there."

"First of all let me start of by saying this Motel is remodling and updating their rooms. Unfortunately we didn't get one. The room we got was clean alright, but beat up. The door didn't fit right, the lock was broken. The TV was turned on and off by plugging it in/out. The TV Remote didn't work..Fixtures were tore off in the bathroom. There were old chip bags left in the 'kitchen'. A bed sheet was covering the couch for whatever reason. The next day as nothing was made up, we asked for clean towels etc, they were brought to us along with a TV remote. The person stated that different people wanted different stuff, in relation to the service I am guessing. On the positive, the location is central and the grounds were very nice. The staff were friendly and nice. The manager/owner did apologise for the status of the room and explained the remodling going on. If you are staying here ensure you get an upgraded room. Check it out first."

"I am not sure what those pictures are showing nice rooms, etc, but that was certainly not our experience. This place is absolutely the worst, most run down place that we have ever stayed at. Wifi did not work, there was no place to hang our dress clothes...not even a closet! Coffee consisted of an old dirty kettle and an instant coffee packet. The bed was very uncomfortable. Old musty smelling furniture, and stains in the carpet, We have stayed at bad places before, but this one is the worst! We had a wedding to go to, and did not have time to switch to somewhere else."

"Room was old, full of carpet stains, spider webs and mold all over bathroom. The cable box was hanging from the back of the tv and only stuck on to the bottom of the tv with weird sticky goo. Do not pay for the room until inspecting it! I paid for a room for one night, stayed for 30 minutes & asked for a different room for obvious reasons and was given keys to a 2nd room that was the same state. When I went back to the office to ask for my money back, I was only given a 50% refund since we had "used" the room & toilet paper. (I had to use the bathroom after a long drive). Will not recommend this motel to my worst enemy!!"

"This motel is run by such a nice family and the bed was comfortable but for me, that’s where the loveliness ended. A busy weekend in Trenton so not much available. Very close to the airbase, this motel runs about $140 a night. My room smelled so bad - the smell was apparent before I even unlocked the door - so bad I considered sleeping in my car. The smell was something like pinesol, urine, mould, I don’t know. The dishes were not particularly clean, cobwebs in the bathroom and kitchen, a lone spider in the bathroom and a large harmless crane fly hanging out in the corner of the room. The furniture must be fixed to the floor as it was filthy behind bed and end table. Doors could use a coat of paint or at least a wash. No reachable outlets near the bed. Although in a central location, I cannot recommend this motel. I’m sure it was a beauty in its time."
