Sleep well on comfortable beds.The cottage is uniquely located next to Taughannock Falls State Park. Yet, it is only 4 miles from shopping in Trumansburg and 10 miles from Ithaca. It is located on the Cayuga Scenic Trail as well as the Cayuga Wine Trail, making it a central location for beauty and touring.The entire cottage and yard are yours to use and enjoy while renting. The garage contains some outdoor games and the trash cans for you to access, but is not otherwise for guest use.This is a pet-free property. If you have severe pet allergies, please be advised that the most recent time a cat stayed briefly at the cottage was in February 2023. During (now more often) hot summer days and nights, the cottage garden room has a tower AC unit to cool down the public spaces. Each bedroom has its own AC window or wall unit.We are just a phone call away if you have any questions or concerns! Please feel free to contact me. Cozy farmhouse, centrally located just outside of Ithaca - 2 minutes to Taughannock Falls State Park, Black Diamond Trail and beautiful Cayuga Lake. Close to parks, gorges, wineries, Cornell and Ithaca College.The two bedrooms have a queen and full sized bed and the designated office space has a twin. An air mattress is available upon request. The front room has two living room chairs and a dining space that seats four people comfortably. The TV nook in the back is cozy and the L-couch seats four comfortably. There's a second desk in the TV room.This is a sweet, old farm house, so be ready for various squeaky floors! Please note, the bathroom is on the second floor. Beloved cabin-coverted-to-cottage perfectly set up for large groups with incomparable access to the lake. The upstairs of the cottage has two bedrooms (double and single over double bunk bed), a full bathroom, a couch (the best nap spot ever) and futon, and wonderful lake views from its airy and bright open space. The downstairs has a more cabin feel with four bedrooms (queen, double, twin, and single over double bunk bed), kitchen, dining, sitting and living area with stone fireplace, along with a powder room, separate shower, and laundry room. There is a porch perfect for buffet and drinks setup, a large deck for outdoor eating and enjoying the lake views, and a fire pit on the beach. The cottage has excellent access to nearby amenities, including the Black Diamond Trail (1 mile), Taughannock State Park (2.5 miles), Cass Park (6 miles), the Boatyard Grille and downtown Ithaca (7 miles), Cornell University (9 miles) and Ithaca College (9 miles). We have been on VRBO for a couple of seasons now for May-June rentals. We don’t have rental availability during the summer.
