Amazing
OOzzpomThis was a wonderful stay. The location was great, very close to a supermarket as well as a petrol station. The very first night they recommended a fantastic local bistro. We had a wonderful meal. The room was clean, it was lovely and cool. The AC was very, very welcome because we were here during quite the heatwave. Yes okay it's summer but, oh my god, 35 degrees Celsius is a lot to deal with. Didier and Lara were incredibly welcoming. The breakfasts were utterly incredible. We felt incredibly spoiled. We had delicious, fresh pastries. We had beautiful yoghourts. We had lovely fruit purées. We had poached eggs. Nothing was too much trouble. The orange juice was freshly squeezed. The pink grapefruit juice was freshly squeezed. It was really really delicious!
What was really nice is that we stayed for three nights. What was really lovely was that we'd come back each day and our room had been tidied and the beds had been made. We had always turned off the air conditioning so it was really nice to come home to our accommodation. The AC was on so the room was already lovely and cool by the time we got in.
I would happily stay there again. Wonderful host, friendly, not in your face, just really really welcoming, and we would absolutely stay there again.
GGuest UserIt was just a small nice cottage-like hotel. We loved it so much. The hotel is located not so far from the beach, maybe around 20 mins by car but it wasnt so hard to get an uber/bolt so it was okay for us since we didnt have a car.
For breakfast, we had to sit together with other tourists who stayed there with us, and it was a very nice way to start the day. The owner gave us this homemade yogurt which was the best yogurt ive ever tried in my life (im still thinking about it now).
Overall, if you plan to visit Etretat, I do recommend staying here if you dont mind staying a bit far from the hotspot. Thank you to the owner for hosting us! We love Etretat🥰
GGuest UserWe reached Erawan pretty late, at dark, in a snow day. Because communication channel with Trip.com did g allow the owner to reach us (phone nor email), we reached an empty, closed venue. Which I have to stay is pretty upsetting when it is -2 outside. However, after few phone calls, and relevant explanations, we got welcomed warmly by the owner and the neighbor business owner and we moved in accordingly. Thank you to the neighbor businessman to help us carry our heavy luggage till the 2nd floor!!
Beautiful house and deco; beautiful bedroom BUT, extremely cold toilet and bathroom (supposed to be a hammam??? We never found the way to turn it into a hammam…. It is gorgeous…. But… damn cold!)
Again, the house is very beautifully decorated which was so nice to experiment for breakfast. Do try this place which bedrooms names are themed on Thailand! :-)
GGuest UserGreat hotel and great location. Plenty of free parking. Very clean and big rooms. Reasonable price. The only thing I would have liked is a kettle and a coffee machine in the rooms, thats the only thing that was missing. Other than that. I highly recommend this hotel. The front desk agent, Mary is also very nice and kind.
GGuest UserThe stay experience was superb, the hotel was in a great location, very close to the business district/scenic area/subway station, and it was super worry-free on foot. The room is spacious, the lighting and ventilation are very good, the hygiene is particularly in place, the corners are spotless, the bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and the quality of toiletries is online. The staff is attentive and thoughtful, the check-in and check-out speed is fast, the demand response is timely, the hotel's breakfast is rich in variety and tastes good. The overall experience is full, I highly recommend it to everyone!
XXIAOJIANGHotel facilities are good and the service is attentive. The newly changed mattress is very comfortable, and all kinds of cooking utensils and kitchen utensils are complete. If you go to the hotel again in the future, give a big 👍.
GGuest UserThe main building of the property is beautiful but has a tight parking space, which… needs to be booked ahead.. and we didn’t know . Anyway, also be aware that there are 3 buildings within the property, 1min walk to each other, and in winter at the dark of the evening, it is not really convenient to go from one place to another one.
Anyway. Fact is that the 2 buildings we were presented are beautiful, fully renovated, warm and nicely decorated. Well done.
Breakfast was also very good; I just think that the breakfast timing mngt of the various bedrooms run off… as people were queuing up, waiting for tables. My advice: wake up early, go breakfast early! ;-)
Again very nice mansion and service.
GGuest UserIf you want to experience La vraie vie de chateau (a real life a a castle owner) this is your choice. Only 5 rooms available, very private, feels like you are in your own chateau… fabulous park and setting around the main building, was told there are other separate “mini” houses in the park , and you can go watch the horses…. And admire the view on the valley.
Our room: we booked the round bedroom … the center bedroom on the 1st floor…. Fabulous place, need a bit of upgrade in the bathroom… if anything… but seriously felt like a châtelain… as we reached early, we were welcomed by one of the sons of the owners who took us around the private wing, “his house”, and told us everything about the mansion history as well as hotel business. A great interaction with a friendly castle owner and businessman. They also have a snooker, a gym and sauna…. I mean… what else do you want!!!
We had to go out for dinner (at L’Hermitage) which the owner booked for us.
Breakfastwas served in the salons…. Stylish French dépit déjeuner, served by a dynamic, friendly and frank lady.
Just go. Dont hesitate.
AAnonymous UserPros: The staff is very nice and welcoming. We had a room on the first floor, which was very convenient since the hotel does not have an elevator. However, if you are traveling only with backpacks, this should not be a problem. Although the hotel is relatively inexpensive, it is very cozy and comfortable. We stayed in a room with three beds: one large bed and two smaller beds, as well as a spacious bathroom. Just be aware that the hotel does not provide slippers, but you can ask for water bottle.
Cons: The towels could be cleaned better, as they already look quite gray and worn. And on the second day, the housekeeping staff only brought fresh towels and did not make the beds.
GGuest UserWalking distance from all attractions within city center. We visited several spots in town and returned to the hotel for a short break. The hotel has no lift! We had to carry our luggages to 3rd floor. Room is compact as expected however the bed is comfortable. Shower and toilet are small. Front staff was helpful as he tried to explain us about the hotel and surrounding in English. He was also kind enough to keep our luggages during our short trip to Mont St Michel.
