"A very, very nice, family-run wellness hotel in the middle of nowhere, yet quickly and easily accessible via the A6. The rooms are excellent. The spa area could be cleaned and restocked more frequently. But don't get me wrong, everything is clean, just a shade from perfect. I imagine that with the opening of the spa extension in early summer 2025, the whole thing will be even more beautiful. The treatments were good; postponements due to illness are possible, but could be communicated before arrival. The highlight is definitely the Michelin-starred restaurant: Chapeau! Overall, a perfect hideaway for 24 hours or longer."

"The location is good. There are several supermarkets and a Chinese restaurant within one kilometer. The only thing is that I forgot to put towels in my room, but my colleague did."

"This is a small, very quiet place I stayed while on a business trip. There's a small park downstairs with excellent greenery. The hotel facilities are fairly basic; there's no kettle, but you can borrow bottles downstairs to fill your water bottle. They have sparkling water, which is nice."

"I visited Amberg in December, on business. I have stayed in Amberg before, but this was my first visit to Bootshaus. It is a very clean and very nice boutique hotel that merges the past history of the building with modern decor and amenities. My room overlooked the Vils River (very pretty view)! I also took a short walk to the old town marktplatz, which has many bars and restaurants, to enjoy the Christmas Market. The hotel had an excellent restaurant -- there is a patio bar overlooking the canal, and a dining room inside. In December it was too chilly to eat outside, but the dining room was very cozy, and offered a wide variety of tasty menu options. Attentive, professional staff and very nice property. I will be back when I return to Amberg!"
