"We stayed in a one bedroom marina facing room. Although the interior was dated, the carpet was new and everything, including saucepans and frypan were spotlessly clean. Our apartment wasn’t serviced during the week because it wasn’t a hotel room, but we had a washing machine and dryer in our room so I was able to wash our towels. As an Accor member, we enjoyed complimentary drinks on Tuesday afternoon!"

"We really enjoyed our stay here, the space was great for us and our two little ones. We checked in late and staff were very accommodating of this. The only negative things I can say are that the brown blanket on the queen bed was crusty and clearly hadn’t been washed, we opted to use the spare blanket in the cupboard which didn’t have any obvious marks on it there was also a decently sized dead bug in the bathroom just under the door which would’ve been quite easy for cleaners to remove if they had a keen eye. Aside from those minor things, we really liked our space and would happily recommend this accommodation to family or friends visiting Hervey Bay."

"I won't stay here again. I just needed a quick stop over for the night and was out first thing I the morning. The place was fully booked. I was in room 12. The place is as tired as other people's reviews suggest. The carpets need replacing, stained in multiple places. The chair in the room was filthy. Dark greasy stains all over the armrests. All the doors and walls had dirty hand prints on them which are very easy to see with the afternoon light shining through the room. The Bathroom was clean, thank goodness and the bed was comfortable, but that is where the positives end. The bed is made with sheets only and not tucked in at the head of the bed. And the brown fleece blanket that I found in the very hard to open wardrobe smelled dirty too. One teaspoon available for tea or coffee, had dried up yogurt and dirty finger prints. I took it to reception for a replacement and was not even offered an apology, Clearly this happens often. I had asked if there was an ice cube tray available in the room. Her response was a non answer saying that some rooms had broken ones. When i returned the spoon, I was given a silicone ice cube tray that she found somewhere, which was also dirty with white residue inside it. I've included photos. No excuse for a dirty room. Except laziness."

"I stated at the Ramada for two nights when I was in Hervey Bay for a trip to Fraser Island. Overall, it was a pleasant enough stay. The hotel location is located near the esplanade, which is a quiet part of town about 8 km from the CBD, and has a few dining options within walking distance near the boat club. The hotel staff were all friendly upon arrival, the hotel room I was in was reasonably modern / well maintained (but your expectations should be set at "regional Australia hotel quality" and not "major city hotel quality"), and it has a on-site pool / restaurant (there was also a tiny 'gym' but it did not really have anything other than a cardio machine and some small weights). There was on-site parking, but the spaces were small and filled up very quickly when I was there (I didn't have trouble parking, but did find myself getting the final free space a couple of times). I had no real complaints about the place and would happily stay there again."

"Not knowing what to expect before our arrival, ultimately we were very, very Very happy with a decision to spend three nights at Fauna Sanctuary at Hervey Bay. Being 1/2 of a couple of 2 nature lovers, we had a great time feeding the ducks, and the turtles with the small bags of petting food that are provided for you from the reception. The general manager Deb had a lot of information to impart on us about the wildlife at the sanctuary and Took the time to explain exactly why and how the animals should be treated. Children would find this place unreal. It's like a petting zoo 247. Being surrounded by nature Was a very rewarding experience for my fiancee and I who both come from the big city. We had a great time, and we do believe that we may have in facan see our first born child together here at the Fauna Sanctuary. I hope you have the time of your life!! Ps. The in-ground pool built towards the back of the retreat is absolutely amazing for an early morning swim!!! JOHN BOSS"
