"From the moment my son and I were collected from the coach drop off point in the village in the very early hours I knew we were going to be in for an amazing holiday. Welcomed with a refreshing drink while we checked in our luggage was taken to our room where a much needed cold meat, fruit & cheese platter was waiting for us (at our request). Our room was spotlessly clean, extremely comfy beds & pillows and as we were in an end room (316) we had the most fabulous view of the mountains, pool and sea! Fresh bottled water daily as well which was a bonus! I will say that the shower was wonderful, the only little niggle being I couldn’t reach the high bathroom window to open it to let the steam out. Breakfast was more than we expected. A selection of cooked items and made to order eggs, an array of fruit, deli meats & cheeses, breads, pastries, sweet treats, Greek yogurt, honey & nuts and plenty of tea, coffee and fruit juices which we enjoyed around the pool. We didn’t eat at lunch as we were full from breakfast so can’t comment on the lunch menu. The evening menu wasn’t really to our taste as we don’t eat fish or a lot of red meat, however the evenings we did eat we enjoyed what we had. The portions are enormous though and we could have shared starters and desserts. There are plentiful tavernas to eat at in the village should you fancy a change from the hotel menu. The pool area was lovely, quiet and relaxing and we didn’t have any trouble securing sunbeds. Loved being able to order drinks straight to our sun loungers barely lifting a finger. The pool is fantastic, one of the best, quite deep, I couldn’t touch the bottom at 5ft 3 but it’s perfect for swimming, very refreshing. The hotel had a very wide age range of guests and although I was visiting with my son we didn’t feel out of place amongst the couples, young and older and a few pairs of friends. The friendly village itself is very small, a 5-10 minute walk from one end to the other with lots of small shops, cafe’s & restaurants and the small but beautifully sandy beach is literally 30 seconds walk from the hotel. All in all we had an amazing holiday. Every single one of the staff that works there is cheerful, friendly and hardworking, striving to make your holiday perfect. They are all a credit to the hotel and both my son and I will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and hopefully will return. We were definitely both sad to leave this little piece of Cretan paradise."

"This was our ninth visit to this hotel and we have booked to go again. Great location just 150 yards from Plaka square with its shops, tavernas and bustling evening atmosphere and only 15 minutes walk downhill to beautiful Almyrida with its beach, water sports and many tavernas. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and I would like to pay tribute to the high standards of cleanliness and efficiency of the cleaning staff. Robes and slippers are provided and every day the floor is washed. bins emptied, clean fresh towels and bed made (See pictures). These rooms are designed for self-catering, if required, and the intelligent guest will perhaps get a clue from the provision of washing up liquid, pan cleaners, etc. that washing crockery is NOT the responsibility of the cleaners. Provided ones life style is not of the porcine variety with personal possessions and dirty crockery left lying around, the maids will clean the sink to look like new and leave the floor so clean you could eat your moussaka off it (See picture). Breakfast on the terrace is delightful, with clean white cloths and a stunning view. With five swimming pools and an ample supply of beds and umbrellas at each, even when fully booked there is rarely more than one or two people in the pool at any one time. Can't wait to return."

"Came back to yet another week's stay at the beach. The hotel itself is warm , friendly and very well run. The staff are very friendly and cater to your every need. There are sister hotels and all guests can use the facilities at all of them. Lots of good restaurants nearby but the food here is very good. We were warned that there was a tummy bug going around during our stay but I myself did not catch it. We booked a late checkout for 4pm and they happily accommodated us. We will be back again!!!"

"We had a lovely greeting on arrival from the reception staff. All the staff during our stay were friendly & helpful. Our room was very clean & the housekeeping staff kept it immaculate during our stay. The pool was a bit cool but it was ok once we got used to the temperature. Plenty of space for sunbeds & it was quite a quiet place to relax. Plenty of choice at breakfast but thought the pool bar was a little expensive for drinks. A great week & we would visit again."
