"Always wanted to bring my family here….as only experienced this lovely resort as a tour manager with a group for a stop over lunch many years ago… Glad we celebrated my birthday weekend here….it was cosy and comfortable…clean and I can only say I had a wonderful birthday weekend. We were suprised with a birthday plate with chocs and all was just well…the beautiful scenery and clear skies at night where it feels you can just pick the stars from the skies…the self catering units are well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful and don’t forget the Spa!!"

"Loved our stay here at First Group Port Owen BUT the places really need Air-con as they get so warm and it made sleeping very difficult. There was a ceiling fan and a portable fan but all they did really was push hot air around. Aside from that, we loved it here. We had a 1 bedroom ground floor apartment. 2 sets of sliding doors opened up onto a gorgeous decking area, which overlooked the water. Lots of gorgeous homes around here to admire. There was a really good restaurant less than a minute's walk away. We took a pedalo raft out on the canal and played table tennis in the games area. The staff we interacted with were all very friendly and helpful. We used the pool a couple of times and that was nice too. Overall, a lovely stay in a lovely apartment and area but unfortunately would probably not return due to not sleeping well due to lack of air-conditioning"
