"Loved, loved, loved our stay! The hotel is a nice distance from Naples and is close to many sights - Pompeii, Vesuvius, Amalfi, Sorrento etc. Super easy to manoeuvre between these and the hotel also has a shuttle bus. Breakfast was AMAZING! The staff, wonderful. Cocktails after dark - gorgeous! Views are stunning! Pool was lovely and very much needed in the heat. Room was great - superb shower and everything you need. Choice of restaurants on site - we only visited the pizzeria - it was lovely, but staff were very very rude - so much that other diners even commented on her attitude. Gorgeous stay - would definitely go again!"

"Family of 4, 3 adults & 14yr old I very rarely leave reviews but after reading some on here I felt obliged to give my honest opinion. We booked this hotel about 6 weeks before going and after reading the reviews on here was a bit sceptical to say the least. Our room was a decent size had air conditioning, cleaned every day and towels replaced daily. The breakfast was fine, food round the pool excellent especially the pizzas. The pool area is a decent size and had more than enough sunbeds, Infact it’s one of the first holidays in ages we’ve rocked up around the pool around 11am and there’s beds galore. I read on here that at weekends a few locals use the pool which is true but they brought a load of extra beds out to accommodate this. There’s an older gentleman and a young lad round the pool who will move beds for you, sort your umbrella and are both really helpful. All the staff are extremely friendly and can’t do enough for you. The views around the hotel are out of this world, Infact you stand in the pool and look around and it’s literally breathtaking. This hotel is a 10 minute walk downhill to the train station on a partly narrow and slightly uneven footpath. This wasn’t a problem for us 4 adults but could be for young children, children in prams or people not great on there feet. The trains were every 20 minutes or so and about a 10 minute journey into Sorrento. It’s true theres quite a busy road that wraps around the hotel but at night it wasn’t too busy and the external shutters helped keep any noise out. All in all I’d highly recommend this hotel and will 100% be returning. Thanks Hotel Moon Valley for an unbelievable stay !!! Grazie"

"I had an excellent stay for 2 nights in September, 2024, as part of a group. Our shared room was lovely. Immediately, our curtain/blind broke when I asked opening it to look out the window. The staff were immediately respond to the situation and took action to repair the faulty ropes. The location is amazing! So close to restaurants and the train station. A local laundromat was less than a 5 minute walk away. Staff were lovely. Included breakfast was amazing. After tour patio drinks were cheap and great! There is a private beach from the elevator but you have to pay for the chair and umbrella. I don’t like pebble stone and rock beaches and I forgot to bring water shoes, so I didn’t like the beach, however, lots of other guests look like they were enjoying themselves, so my opinion on the beach is just that of my own."

"A major faux pas! Don't stay here! Don't believe any positive reviews or posts on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform). This hotel is utterly useless except for its cheap price. First, the location is terrible. The hotel is in the small town of Vico, which has few tourists. It looks close to Sorrento and Positano as a straight line, but it takes 30 minutes and 60 minutes by car respectively. Then, it's supposedly a 6-minute drive to the beach, but it's a 53-minute walk. There's no parking if you drive there, and no taxis in town. More importantly, the hotel is in the north of the Italian peninsula, but the best sea views are in the south. Even if you're looking for a cheap hotel, choose a small town in the south (between Sorrento and Salerno). Second, the rooms are awful. I booked a sea-view balcony room, and upon entering, there was a strong smell of disinfectant (I checked in at 5 pm, so there's no way it had just been cleaned). The balcony was also very small and severely obstructed, offering only a tiny view of the sea. The advertising is completely misleading. The most outrageous thing is the so-called roof. The bar was right above me, and the DJ was spinning records overhead; the noise level was measured at 50-70 dB. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I went to the hotel to complain and request a cancellation (why not a room change? Because the room I was given also had strong disinfectant smells and a DJ dancing overhead). The hotel manager agreed to give me a refund and said he would communicate with the agent about it. However, four days later, the agent told Ctrip that the hotel refused to refund me. I don't know if the hotel or the agent was at fault. However, Ctrip customer service was very attentive in following up and ultimately resolved the issue well. Thank you again! I immediately booked a hotel in Positano after cancelling, and it was a much more pleasant experience."
