"The hotel is beautiful considering it was a convent/monastery and was restored while maintaining the granite features, and they decorated the interior with wood. A perfect combination. In addition, it is located on a hill with a beautiful landscape, from where you can see the entire city of Vila do Conde, the Nau Quinhentista and the Ave River. The service was top quality, with staff always available to help us or clarify any questions. They upgraded our room and were always pampering us. The breakfast was very varied, with very good quality food, in an equally superb room. Whenever we made a suggestion or a request, it was immediately attended to."

"I don't know the hotel because they keep 2 adress on Google maps , but one of them is wrong. We are on Camino de Santiago and couldn't walk to the real address. They refuse to cancel the reservation. That's why I'm using the only way to hit them : A negative review. I don't know the hotel but the managers are not honest people."

"I would have to say that this stay was better than last year's, it all came down to being assigned a different room, I liked the layout better, the bathroom had a view, the air-conditioning worked well and was silent, there was little noise from adjoining rooms (maybe no-one else was there?) Check-in went smoothly this time (there is no reception), I called and was told that we could arrive earlier, we were meet at the door, so no confusion like last year. We self-catered for breakfast buying supplies from a local supermarket and storing in the mini-bar refrigerator. Outside the guest rooms in the corridor was a communal buffet where you can make tea/coffee, there was also a fruit basket and packaged muffins for guests. I love the location of the hotel, the decor and comfort, the views looking over to the river from our room, an easy access to the Camino path. Vila do Conde is a beautiful coastal town to visit and to wander the streets."

"The hostel is very well located and offers good infrastructure. It has an elevator to the upper floors, which provides good comfort and reduces the need to transport luggage. The rooms are spacious, well lit and ventilated. The bathrooms are in good condition, although one shower was closed, it did not cause any problems or wait. Great breakfast."

"right on the caminho this place looks lovely from the outside and is just as impressive on the inside.from my 2 visits in a short time scale both rooms were spacious and very comfortable and a nice place to relax,add on some lovely gardens with a pool and your in for a bit of a treat but it is the friendly host and the meal with like minded people from all over the world that make this place even more memorable."
