"Antonio and his staff were very friendly and warm and made me feel like family. I experienced a medical episode unexpectedly the evening I arrived and was very anxious. They fed me dinner and then Antonio, the owner whisked me to a local pharmacy for medication. The surroundings are beautiful and the buildings, Antonio told me, were once a dairy that he operated. Just wonderful."

"I would have to say that this stay was better than last year's, it all came down to being assigned a different room, I liked the layout better, the bathroom had a view, the air-conditioning worked well and was silent, there was little noise from adjoining rooms (maybe no-one else was there?) Check-in went smoothly this time (there is no reception), I called and was told that we could arrive earlier, we were meet at the door, so no confusion like last year. We self-catered for breakfast buying supplies from a local supermarket and storing in the mini-bar refrigerator. Outside the guest rooms in the corridor was a communal buffet where you can make tea/coffee, there was also a fruit basket and packaged muffins for guests. I love the location of the hotel, the decor and comfort, the views looking over to the river from our room, an easy access to the Camino path. Vila do Conde is a beautiful coastal town to visit and to wander the streets."

"I don't know the hotel because they keep 2 adress on Google maps , but one of them is wrong. We are on Camino de Santiago and couldn't walk to the real address. They refuse to cancel the reservation. That's why I'm using the only way to hit them : A negative review. I don't know the hotel but the managers are not honest people."

"We stayed for 4 nights for our wedding anniversary and couldn’t have wanted for more! 😍 Our room was upgraded to the suite which was spacious and spotless! We were met by Fernando ( and despite his wife having a recently broken foot!!) he was a fabulous host..nothing was too much trouble from breakfast to walks , restaurant suggestions and taking us to the metro and showing us the ropes! 👌 We couldn’t have asked for more and really cannot pay you enough compliments. Our stay was wonderful and we may return to meet Elisabete …a real gem…you will not be in any way be disappointed here! ❤️"

"The grounds of this establishment set the mood for an enjoyable evening after our second day on the Camino. We had an oversized room - sofa, kitchenette, and large bath with soaking tub. Enjoyed wine on the terrace prior to dinner, which was well plated. The dining room, however, was a bit awkward for the morning breakfast buffet, but that may have been due to the number of guests ready to tackle the trail."

"After a long day of walking on the Camino, Vila do Conde was a welcome sight, after crossing the river our accommodation was a short walk away. Arriving at the address we had no directions as to how to check in so I rang the contact number and soon was greeted by a staff member from the adjoining restaurant who spoke no English. Our room was on the first floor facing the street with a view of the river. While the room was small, it was neat and tidy, clean bathroom and a delightful decor. In the foyer outside our room was a communal buffet with provisions to make hot drinks. We had a comfortable one night stay, we kept the windows closed to minimise street noise and ran the air-conditioner to keep up cool. No breakfast was provided, we self-catered with supplies bought from a local supermarket the day before and stored in the mini-bar frig. A nice stay."
