"We were at a crime fiction weekend, which was great. However, we were given a room that was very small and hadn't been renovated."

"Overall: OK, but would not recommend until they install AC. Positives: beautiful hotel, beautiful grounds and views, renovated modern feel, well appointed, great service!! Negatives: NO AC, no screens on windows makes for a poor sleeping experience hot and lots of mosquito bites ruin the experience. Also misleading, I asked for photos of my exact room when booking as they assign a room number. They sent pictures of another much larger room with a bathroom with windows which we didn’t have. They explained at the hotel they were picture of my category of room, but were quite different. Bathroom has no exhaust fan so gets very stuffy. I was in 105 and it’s very small, you can’t open the terrace doors without hitting the bed so you need to squeeze out, very different than the pictures. Similar with the bathroom door being tight."

"Unfortunately, there are cockroaches running around the hotel, and we had the unpleasant experience of finding three of them in our room. While the views are beautiful, the hotel is unfortunately not clean. I spoke with a guest from another room, and she also saw a cockroach, and unfortunately, it was on the restaurant level. The location might be beautiful, but that is about it. The Hotel Manager was very arrogant; when asked to change our room after seeing a cockroach, she told us we could upgrade to another room (which, by the way, was on a lower floor) for an extra €150 than we can be sure there is no cockpraches. Very rud person. Overall, a very poor experience."

"Beautiful hotel. View from the hotel was wonderful. Breakfast was exellent. Clean and fresh hotel. Good service. Hot tube outside without shower was not nice. Hotel guests went straight to the tube without shower. Restaurant in the garden was lovely place but food was not."
