"Our stay was nice at first, and we even got a room upgrade, which was great. Unfortunately, the airco was super noisy it sounded like an airplane! When my husband mentioned it to the receptionist that night, she just said, “Why don’t you sleep without airco?” and gave no solution. We ended up sleeping without it, but the room was so stuffy. We had to open the door a few times, though it didn’t feel safe since the balcony faced the street. Luckily, the receptionist the next morning was very kind, apologized, and gave us something complimentary as compensation. So glad it was a different person!"

"Great hotel right on the beach. A shame there isn't a direct staircase to the beach though. We were able to check in early as the room was already clean. Breakfast was good too, but I'd suggest making it a self-service buffet. It would be easier for everyone."

"Worst experience in my life. Reported the owner - police called ! I came from NYC - booked a Hotel on line. They notify me they can not send me online check in - and that no one is there. I waited 1 h in front of Hotel - an old man came - the owner and started to ask me personal questions- When I stop him - He told me je has a bad feeling - and I can not stay - it was late night - When I protested he fizicaly attacked me / pushed me out. Clearly out of his mind. Police was called !"

"You book this beachroom for the lounge area directly on the beach with seaview Unfortunately, as soon as we sat outside, we received a lot of sand, little stones and the worst: the cigarette ends of the people parking their bikes etc upstairs... so that's not possible to enjoy and you pay a lot to stay a night or a weekend like us there. Bah!"

"While nothing bad happened during our stay, I would not recommend this hotel. The main advantage was the central location. The rooms were extremely sparse. We stayed in a room on the back of the building, and it felt like a 2-star experience. Our room was booked through a tour company, so perhaps I ended up with something substandard because of a bargain price. I often stay at budget hotels, but this was an overall disappointment. I will give credit for good air conditioning and a nice enough breakfast."

"Two caveats: first there is no parking near thee hotel, the area is pedestrian only. Second, the rooms are up a fairly narrow staircase. If a three block walk or the stairs are a real problem, this is not the place for you. However, if that's not a problem the location is very central for the old town, the rooms are spacious and the manager is a very nice guy. We ate breakfast here three times and dinner twice, and the food and service are both very good. I would stay here again if I were in the area."

"Stayed 2 nights early January 2026. Was a strange experience in that a lot of the hotel is very nice. The staff are very friendly and professional, the location is great, the cost was reasonable, the building looks nice and it is very clean. However the basics needed from a hotel stay - a quiet room, a dark room and a comfortable room - simply are not there, so until these issues are resolved I would recommend to look elsewhere. Night 1 - Kept awake all night by a knocking noise from the outside on the roof. Sounded like a loose cable swaying in the wind. Every 2 to 5 seconds constantly. Was enough to ruin our sleep - Blue LED from the TV overlooking the bed was far too bright - had to hang clothing over it - Bedding was far too hot despite it being winter and having all the heating turned off. No alternative bedding in the room. Changed room after speaking with reception in the morning Night 2 - Same bedding issue - No door on the bathroom (this was an alternative smaller room, but seems strange given a door would fit well) - Room is not dark at all at night 1) 2 LED's from the bathroom mirror shine into the bedroom 2) Light from the courtyard (where the room entrance opens onto) is on 24/7 and the blind is a cheap IKEA one, not blackout, so a lot of the light gets through - The room ventilation came got louder about 11pm and never got quieter I find it strange that the issues were there in the first place - it is like no one has tested the rooms. Spending 15 minutes in them in the dark would highlight most of them. I heard other customers complain about noise/lack of sleep at reception, so am presuming at least some of these issues are known but just have not been fixed."

"I am not satisfied with the value for money of “Studio 1”. I cannot speak for the entire establishment, having only stayed in one studio. I find that the €120 requested per night (+€15 per night for the presence of a small dog weighing less than 10 kilos without any compensation) is a lot of money for what is offered. The studio is truly a place that should be visited by Troglodytes because it is a cave. Almost no light (which is damaging in a place known for its brightness) and little possibility of decently lighting the room for reading. The shower room is rudimentary with a hand basin as a sink (so it is impossible to put anything there). When the heating turns on, the silence is broken by unwanted clicking sounds (too bad). The equipment in the kitchen is more than lacking (impossible to use anything other than the refrigerator and the microwave because there are no kitchen utensils). We only had one wine glass and one bowl (which is not much when there are two of us). The kitchen has also had its day and the entire Studio requires a good refresh and additional equipment to be able to merit the asking price. We will not return there."
