"The hotel is built into the vineyards and we didn't find it visually appealing. Easily accessible by public transport. It's too far to walk to the town center of Volkach. Friendly welcome at reception. However, the room's location was only explained before we went to the room ourselves – without any help with our luggage. The rooms are adequately sized and attractively designed. There's also a very large balcony overlooking the vineyards. Unfortunately, there's only a very, very small open wardrobe. We booked a double bed – but received two single beds pushed together. Room cleaning only happens when a card is left on the door – and it takes a long time. When you return to the room, you're asked to go out onto the balcony in the meantime. No fresh towels either... The spa area is very nice, especially the floating loungers, which are very comfortable. The swimming area with massage jets is nice and spacious. The sauna area is also nice. Breakfast: very good coffee in various styles, good juices, good selection of cheeses and cold cuts. The food on offer is good, but there's nothing special (no salmon, no glass of sparkling wine). The hotel is very new and tries to project a modern image. Overall, the stay was "okay," but nothing more."

The Decoration was top Breakfast outstanding and the staff very friendly The hotel also have a restaurant and the food was excellent. The best snitzel I ever had I totally recommend."

"I visited Zurich dozens of times during my life. I always stayed at Baur au Lac, Zum Storchen or Schweizerhof. Schweizerhof is best for a quick overnight because it’s location just across railway station makes it very practical. Baur au Lac is the most elegant and perfect for summer because of its garden. Zum Storchen has the best location, directly on the river and just 100 meters from old town. This hotel has a very small lobby, an excellent restaurant with a terrace on the Limat river where having meals is a delight because of the food and the view. We had the Life Style River Suite which consists of a small bedroom, a separate living room and a generous sized bathroom. Because it is under the roof you need to be careful not to bang your head against the diagonal roofs. For similar rate I recommend the Junior Suites which with larger windows command a better view. The hotel and its staff are impecable, WIFI works very well. Breakfast is excellent."
