"Stunning location, delicious Tuscan dinner in the restaurant surrounded by beautiful sunset. The room and the bathroom are very dated and feel neglected. We had a door missing from our shower cubicle and the tap was spitting everywhere, whilst we don't expect a modern feel from a farmhouse, the basics felt like they were missing. The outdoor furniture is quite run down, torn and tired too, the pool is a lovely location but again the loungers and the area feel neglected overall, the swimming poor water is not clean. We were visiting mid June and were told the air con units are not switched on across the hotel yet because it's 'too cold', although it was 26 degrees outside, feeling very warm at night."

"The hotel is very serene & quiet. The staff is friendly & always helpful The rooms are basic, clean, large & comfortable. Our bathroom was huge, and had a great overhead heater. I loved the outside areas, beautiful courtyards. Unfortunately the evenings were a bit cool to enjoy them fully. There is about a 20 minute walk to the center of Volterra. It's flat until you get to the city walls! We enjoyed diner both nights at the restaurant. The food was delicious & reasonably priced. I hope to return to Volterra & would love to stay at this hotel again. "
