Borgo Pignano Tuscany ★★★★
"Tranquil, the perfect countryside vacation ! Everyone was so welcoming and gracious from the moment we arrived. We almost felt like family coming into stay for a few days. The staff is incredible, the grounds impeccable and the location is perfect! We have travelled all of Italy this month and this by far rates as one of our most favorite places! Plan to stay several nights if possible, you won’t regret it! Make certain you enjoy the pool and take a tour of the grounds! Breakfast was awesome. Villas amazing!"
Hotel San Lino ★★★★
Hotel Residence Villa Rioddi ★★★
"Fabulous place to stay in the most beautiful location. Just a short drive from the walled town of volterra, rich in culture and history. The views from the property are breathtaking, even while taking a dip in the pool. The wonderful family that run Villa Rioddi were more than hospitable and help your trip run smoothly. Child friendly. The homemade food produced for breakfast was delightful. Highly recommend!!"

Agrihotel Il Palagetto ★★★
"Honestly, this stay was a major disappointment, especially considering how the property presents itself: peace, relaxation, carefree отдых, and EV charging availability. The area itself offers plenty of accommodation options, so we chose this hotel very deliberately for three specific reasons: we were traveling with a dog, we wanted reliable EV charging, and we wanted to avoid wasting time during our trip searching for chargers or waiting around instead of actually relaxing. Unfortunately, we were not able to use the EV charging at all. The charger is not located in the parking area, but by the side of the road next to an unmaintained field. The staff did not really know how it worked, and it was clearly poorly maintained. One charger was completely non-functional, while the other was physically difficult to access. On top of that, the cable insulation was damaged, which is especially concerning for an electrical charging station. Both charging connectors were dirty and clogged, making the entire setup feel neglected and potentially unsafe. In the end, we had to drive to a nearby village to charge the car and spent almost an hour sitting in a supermarket parking lot — exactly the kind of experience we were trying to avoid by choosing this hotel. An even more frustrating issue was the handling of an external event hosted by the hotel on Sunday from 12:30 PM until around 6 PM. Around 40–50 adults and many children essentially took over the entire property. The pool area, which paying guests would normally use for relaxation, became completely unusable because of constant shouting, running around, and unsupervised children. The truly unacceptable part was that later the children also reached the guest room level and occupied the private terrace belonging to our room, including the seating area and table. Wet clothes were hung over the railing near our terrace, while we could not even comfortably use the private outdoor space we had paid for. To be clear: the issue is not the presence of children itself. The problem is that a hotel advertising tranquility and exclusive relaxation failed to properly manage or organize the external event guests, clearly at the expense of paying hotel guests. The payment and billing process on the day of departure was also extremely unpleasant. The so-called “detailed bill” consisted of a few handwritten notes the waiters had been scribbling on pieces of paper over several days. The charges were completely impossible to follow, and there was no clear way to verify whether every item actually belonged to our consumption. This was especially concerning considering the final bill amounted to €556 for only two dinners and a few drinks. For a property in this category, a far more professional and transparent billing system should be expected. The surroundings are genuinely beautiful, but unfortunately the service quality and overall organization were far below the standard we expected."
Il Sogno di Annalisa il Nido ★★
"prices from 3/4 star hotels and rooms in a dilapidated house for students with pocket money. We escaped despite paying for the night. The ban on car entry is inconvenient (luggage must be carried by hand for a good distance, if you are lucky to find a place in the paid car park)"
Hotel Foresteria ★★★
Albergo Etruria ★★★
"Hotel in super position to visit Volterra. Thankful owners, in addition to any expectations, will be ready to advise and help you as much as possible. I don't think there are better solutions in Volterra."
Chiostro Delle Monache Hostel Volterra ★★★
"The hotel is very serene & quiet. The staff is friendly & always helpful The rooms are basic, clean, large & comfortable. Our bathroom was huge, and had a great overhead heater. I loved the outside areas, beautiful courtyards. Unfortunately the evenings were a bit cool to enjoy them fully. There is about a 20 minute walk to the center of Volterra. It's flat until you get to the city walls! We enjoyed diner both nights at the restaurant. The food was delicious & reasonably priced. I hope to return to Volterra & would love to stay at this hotel again. "
