"I am a wheelchair user and was refused check in at this hotel because there were not enough staff on duty. Since September, I have made three solo bookings and three stays with my husband at various Travelodge hotels. This was my fourth solo booking and it was at the same hotel I had stayed at successfully just four weeks earlier. My booking was for an accessible room, without assistance in the event of an emergency, and was made four days prior to my check in date. At reception, the sole staff member present was unable to proceed with my check in without repeatedly contacting a manager. Around six calls were made while I stood at reception attempting to resolve the situation. This highlighted a clear lack of staffing and on site support, particularly when dealing with accessibility related issues. When I raised this with Customer Services in my complaint following the incident, I was accused of not booking an accessible room, despite having done so. I was then told that the responsibility was on me to have called ahead to check. There is nothing in the booking process that states this is required, no indication that accessibility depends on staffing levels on the day, and this has never been necessary for any other hotel booking I have made. Responsibility was repeatedly shifted onto me rather than anyone acknowledging systemic and procedural inconsistencies and failures. The company has consistently refused to take responsibility. While my stay was refunded, the core issues were not addressed. I have found this experience serious enough that I can no longer trust Travelodge with my overnight stays. Accessibility is meaningless if it disappears when staffing is inconvenient, and disabled guests should not be blamed for failures that sit entirely with the hotel. As an advocate for my fellow wheelchair users, I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel and Travelodge as a whole."

"Fantastic set up.A detatched house divided into 5 studios.Very clear instructions about how to access the property.Very warm and cosy.Double bed was really comfortable,nice linen plenty of pillows.Bathroom very modern and plenty of thick fluffy towels.Small kitchen with kettle and microwave,courtesy tray with tea and coffee and sugar,fridge, cutlery and crockery,basic but enough.Would have liked a toaster.There was an iron and ironing board and hairdryer.Wall mounted T.V. Really comfortable 2 night stay.Quiet Street.with easy parking. Great value for money would stay again."
