"The hotel is located up a steep hill which provides a beautiful view of the valley and the Punakha Dzong. This is especially beautiful at night when it is all lit up. The property itself is not the highest in design or construction...lacking in the Bhutanese style..relatively nondescript. But the view makes up for its faults. However this can also be a disadvantage since the walk up the hill is an exercise in itself."

"Kezang is resort manager and is SO intent on taking care of his guests! This resort is set very privately on a hill overlooking the river. It is peaceful and the gardens on the property are organic and supply all the veggies for the meals. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the bathrooms are huge with great showers and plenty of towels. Food is all hand prepared in Bhutanese style and very plentiful and tasty. This is a family run resort that is simple but rich in Bhutanese hospitality. Would definitely recommend to any traveler who is seeking Bhutanese cuisine in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Beds are very comfortable. Thank you Kezang !!"

"The best views of the Punakha Fortress from this resort. Be ready to go up and down hill either from the stairs or the road as all rooms are built on a hill with scenic views and a balcony. Breakfast and Dinner are the standard fare though you can order ala carte , they are a bit hesitant due to the crowds they get. We used the laundry service too, they did a decent job but ironing and folding wasnt too good. The hotel is always full occupancy so expect delays with room service and luggage being brought to the room. The greenery and the views of the fortress , mountains and the clean air around are worth a mention"
