Best Western Plus Waterbury - Stowe ★★★
"Location was great. Pool are outdoor area were exceptional. The guest rooms are in need of being updated. The staff could have been friendlier. We were charged $25 for checking in an hour before check-in time. Our room was ready so there was zero time/effort for us to check in a little early. Definitely a bad policy."
Hostel Tevere ★★
"Awesome spot for anyone looking for a cozy, authentic, and affordable place to stay in VT. Only 5 min from Sugarbush, and an awesome bar on site! Great place run by great people. I would recommend to anyone, especially those who love the outdoors."
Comfort Inn & Suites Montpelier-Berlin ★★
"Excellent hotel: clean, comfortable, polite staff and convenient location. Everything was nice, we'll be happy to come back again!"
Capitol Plaza Hotel Montpelier, Tapestry Collection by Hilton ★★★★
"Very nice hotel with very friendly staff! The housekeepers were the best! Even the thick towels made me feel at home! Thank you to everyone and especially the ladies at the front desk!"
MAD River Lodge ★★★
The Inn at Montpelier ★★★
MAD River Barn ★★★
"The rooms are a 2 star, basic in need up updates. I stayed at the property for a wedding event for two night. It's not a place I would stay if I were simply going for skiing. But if you stay here for a wedding event for a couple of nights, that it's basic. The breakfast in the morning is the star. If you are looking for a great wedding venue with excellent food and event space, then you'll be happy. It is a bit out of the way, which may/may not impact your selection."
Hollow Inn and Motel ★★
White Horse Lodge ★★★

Clay Brook Hotel at Sugarbush
"Rooms set up to be comfortable-doesn’t have that “bunkhouse” feel like most VT ski resort hotels have. We went late in the season, so staff was jaded and really couldn’t care less about our stay. No one was rude-just indifferent. Food was above average, although shops and restaurants closed a bit early for my tastes. Loved the coffee machines all over! Some of the best skiing in the area! Yes, I’ll stay again."

High Hill Inn
"I'm local and spent a night with Ann-Marie and Joe at the High Hill Inn while my house was being worked on. The Queen suite room was very nice with a comfy bed and plenty of space. Breakfast in the morning was very yummy with yogurt + fruit compote and eggs, bacon and toast. Had enjoyable conversations in the evening when I arrived and in the morning during breakfast."

The Featherbed Inn & Nordic Spa
"We just wrapped up a couple’s four day visit at the Featherbed Inn and Nordic Spa in Waitsfield, Vermont, and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, everything about the place felt welcoming and full of character. The Nordic Spa is truly exceptional — a beautifully maintained hot tub, an incredible sauna that had extra touches uniqueness such as a spacious vestibule, and extra wide benches, and a must do cold plunge that makes the entire relaxation ritual feel authentic and rejuvenating. I’ve experienced many spas over the years, and this may honestly be Vermont’s finest. We stayed in one of the cottages/outbuildings, which was peaceful, charming, and incredibly comfortable. The beds, mattresses, and bedding were absolutely top-tier — the kind of comfort that guarantees deep, restful sleep after a day on the slopes. Karen and Mick, the innkeepers, are the heart of this place. They are warm, friendly, and genuinely hospitable in a way that immediately makes you feel at home. Their attention to detail and natural kindness elevate the entire stay. One of our favorite features of the inn was the fireplace, which was always glowing and inviting. It became the perfect gathering spot in the evenings — a wonderful place to relax with a glass of wine, share some cheese, and unwind with friends after an amazing day skiing. That cozy, fireside atmosphere added so much to the overall experience. The grounds are beautiful and full of classic Vermont charm. The location is also ideal — incredibly convenient to Sugarbush. While my wife enjoyed snowshoeing with her friend, we had an easy trip to the mountain for excellent skiing. Breakfast each morning was a true highlight that was planned and crafted with care. A creative and delicious three-course meal, slightly different each day, featuring imaginative, foodie-level dishes rather than standard fare of just bacon and eggs. The coffee was equally impressive. An unexpected bonus was the communal breakfast experience. We met fellow guests who quickly became friends and ski companions — a testament to the welcoming and social atmosphere Karen and Mick have created. Five stars without hesitation. The Featherbed Inn and Nordic Spa is a genuine gem, and we cannot wait to return."
The Lodge at Lincoln Peak at Sugarbush
"We had the entire hotel booked for our group ski trip. Because there is not much nightlife at Sugarbush, we had been promised that the Black Sheep Bar at the hotel would be open for us on Friday -up until 10pm and maybe later and also Saturday night. The hotel knew we were arriving closer to 10pm. At 9:30pm when we arrived, the bar was closed. They made a staffing excuse and promised it would be open tomorrow. OK we thought.....until Saturday when they suddenly told us they were refusing to open the bar again with the same flimsy excuse! The hotel nightlife was a big part of our trip and the dishonesty/inability to deliver is something everyone should be aware when considering this option, and avoid if that is important to you. Rooms were Instagram nice but very small, noise carried. Decent location and the breakfast bar was very good. A real mixed experience....but them leaving us high and dry not once but twice is what sticks with us...."
